Let's not forget everyone has different setups, body types, arm reach and sensitivies which govern how much we swing the mouse and how easily it gets caught. Simply coming on here and saying 'I've never needed one of these' or not thinking they are useful for many people is not recognizing all the factors which change the need for one.

You are mistaken. You assume that this thread exists in a vacuum. It does not. Many people are likely to view this thread, and a comment stating a valid side is as useful here as any other. More than a comment say, dismissing other comments.

You are the mistaken, unfortunately. As many people are closed minded and think that their case for not needing one applies to many or all. Additionally anyone who dismisses the need for something without giving good reasons why, isn't very useful or valid whatsoever. That is not too uncommon either.

you could cable tie the cord to the base of your monitor? it works well for me
