Now the feeling in-game is just amazing. I doesn't track at 1 CD's height, not even close. Hell, I can't even tell if it does track even before I touch the mousepad!
Here is a pic of what it looks like:

There's just one thing bothering me. Doesn't this affect the 'performance' of the sensor? Doesn't feel like it, tho.
You don't cover the camera, only the light o_O

Sorry, this fix doesn't get rid of the LOD completely, I'm sticking to my method. I get LOD = 0 with it, and comparing the two the DA behaves the same.

And that topic should be stickied or something so that everyone can see that type of fix, because I see a lot of people using the same I do.

But covering the whole hole, should most probably decrease the tracking quality and/or reducing the max speed significantly.
I guess you don't flick your mouse so fast over the mousepad then.

It would be sticky if i knew how.

It does! I tried that on DA and Sidewinder X3. In both cases the tracking felt different (like i had less control over the mouse or something) and the Sidewinder X3's malfunction speed was drastically reduced. Still coundn't make the DA malfunction, but there was definitely something wrong with the tracking compared to the method you described.

The only Deathadder capable of such lift off distance is the 3G version 2 (initial release mouse) which has been discontinued for quite some time now.

3G v3 and 3.5G have a considerably higher lift off ditance.

Well that's a bummer. Does anyone know the LOD for the version in the link I posted?

why does LOD matters because im low sens user and still with that i have nbo problems with high LOD.
So can anyone explain why people so much care about it?

It's just easier to move the mouse around. You won't have to lift the mouse as much (high), meaning less energy and less time to set it back down (the latter being very important I think).
