Z68 which the Ivy bridge back support it but it's old. the Z77 is newer and have newer technologies.
It comes down to your budget, Z68 price will drop even more as z77 coming close to be release. Now why spent money and get something older ?

I dont see the point in z77 Im just waiting for ivy to hit and hoping for a price drop on the 2600k and the asus maximus gene z/gen 3 z68 board. If no price drop the asus maximus is still a decent price atm so will grab that and the i5 ivy version.
