The last time i tested it there were no peds or traffic and if you dies you have to walk MILE to get to a player garage to get a vehicle. The up side was no traffic was see how fast i could truly push all the vehicles.

EDIT: it also wasn't very stable at all. this was all mid to late 2012 too.

I hope they make Mafia 3. I remember being so entranced while playing this game. The story is so interesting and well done. I didn't mind that it was only like 11 hours. Those 11 hours were packed with relevance rather than gameplay length boosters.

Well the story of Mafia II implies there will be a third, or at least they purposely left the door open for that. I'm looking forward to the next game, I enjoyed the second and if this multiplayer revives interest in the series, all the better. I may try it later.

Honestly, I absolutely loved Mafia 2. The story was amazing, the gameplay was fun, and the main thing is just like someone above me has already mentioned, it was 11 hours, but it was 11 hours of nicely packed action while having an always evolving story! A lot of games these days are short, but they also have hour long missions that are absolutely pointless and you end up doing nothing but running around for that time, and killing maybe 1 mob at the end.
