Razer On-Screen DPI/Sensitivity Bar

Just built myself a new rig after being absent from the PC scene for a few years.

For the mouse I opted for the Razer Deathadder 2013, purely for the dynamic DPI settings and the on-screen DPI bar. If you are not sure what I am talking about, see image below.

However I've found that using Synapse 2.0 the DPI bar only appears on Windows desktop and not in-game, full screen video, etc. I've tried installing Synapse 2.0 on my laptop with the same results. To me it looks like it may be an issue with the Synapse software itself, given that it's happening across two different hardware/software platforms.

Razer support don't seem to have heard of this problem.

Is anyone else having the same problem?

Hmm... given the lack of responses I'm guessing not many people are having this issue.

From a slightly different perspective, is anybody's Synapse 2.0 on-screen DPI bar actually *working* in-game?

synapse is a bloatware that also increases input latency, should be only used to set settings then unistalled
there is no good reason to change DPI ingame

No direct experience with Synapse 2.0, but the "on-the-fly" sensitivity bar on the Deathadder did the same thing, it either didn't show at all or only flicker or worst of all minimize the game and show desktop with the bar. Guess it doesn't really work as an overlay.

it only really works if you run a game in windowed borderless

Thanks Vikhr! Indeed it does work in Windowed Borderless.

Shame Razer broke this in Synapse. Used to work perfectly a few years ago.
