I have a game server build I'm thinking about so I can retire our underpowered Intel Atom system and upgrade to something that can run more than a single Minecraft instance (possibly Terraria and a few other games). I'm a fan of the Mini-ITX form factor since I can throw the server on my shelf near my desk and it hardly takes up any space, especially if it's in the Antec ISK-110 case with no optical drive or discrete graphics card.
One of my requirements for this will be 32 GB RAM so I can install ESXi and use VMs. Also I believe in overkill for memory, especially given current DDR3 prices. The build will run on an Ivy Bridge i3-3220 which should support hardware virtualization. The only problem is I can't find any Mini-ITX boards with 4 RAM slots, all I find have 2 slots. I can step up to Micro-ATX and get the slots I need but then the size of the build goes up quite a bit. Not really a major problem, but like I said I'd prefer Mini-ITX.
Do they exist? I'm not looking for specific server boards, client boards are just fine as long as it accepts an i3-3220.
