I recently broke my Sennheiser PC 360, so I'm in a new market for a headset/ headphone + mic solution.

Notes about me:
-Most important thing to me is microphone quality, when I'm on teamspeak, ventrilo or skype I want to sound clear and 'professional'. I play a lot of MMOs and other games that require communications while I'm spamming my (MX Red) keyboard, so I'm looking for something that picks up my voice without picking up the keyboard spam, which the 360 did fairly well.
-I have them on quite a lot, about 4 hours per day, more in the weekend
-I'm using my motherboard (realtek) drivers as sound input
-Budget is 100-200 euro
-I mainly listen to podcasts and audiobooks, don't really listen to music that often.

I was thinking of getting the new G4ME ZERO because I think I'd like the memory leather pads, but have been reading some negative things about it which makes me lean more towards the G4ME ONE.

I tried the Zalman mic + headphone recommendation and I'm not that impressed by the mic quality. I'm open to the much recommended separate headphones + mic, but I'm concerned that standalone mics like the Blue Yeti will pick up my keyboard spam too much if I place it to the side of my monitor, and I'd rather not have something on the desk between me and my keyboard.

As far as headsets go you can't really do better than the PC 360. There are headsets like the QPAD QH-1339 and beyerdynamic MMX300 (basically both the same) but they are out of budget.

My recommendation would be a ModMic paired with a good pair of headphones such as the DT770's.

The ModMic is superior to the majority of built-in headphone microphones, I'm sure you'll be more than happy with it. I would also recommend you buy a sound card, even if it's something cheap like the Xonar DGX.

I looked into the ModMic but it seems like shipping to Europe will be tricky, it will probably take a bit of time before they have enough stock. Do you think the ModMic is better then the PC 360 microphone? That said I'm definitely open to the suggestion.

With regards to the sound card, atm I hear a bit of static when using the PC 360 connected to my motherboards, probably because my graphics card is the slot directly below it. If I install a soundcard underneath that one, will I still hear the static?

Thanks a lot for your help. =)

Why not just get a new PC 360? I'm currently using a PC-350 and will be getting a PC-360 very soon.

Rationally, I should just do that as I had no complaints with my PC 360. It's just that the grass looks greener on the other side and I'm always irrationally looking for the newest shiny things.

Shipping is a bit of a pain but I think it's worth it. The mic quality is better than the mic on the PC 350, I'm not sure whether it's the same as the one on the PC 360 or not.

A sound card is always worth it and it probably will solve your static problem. Motherboard audio generally has quite a high noise floor because of all the EMI flying around.

I'm using the Zalman Zm-Mic1.

It's not as fancy as the ModMic but it gets the job done. Only complaint is that it is very sensitive. But you can negate that to some extent via the recorder options in Windows or in your sound solution control panel.
