I use a CM Storm Skorpion and it's a decent mouse bungee. It feels very well built and the bungee part is completely made from rubber so it's quite flexible and seems to work with a variety of cable thicknesses. I'm happy with mine and can recommend it.

The cm storm as above looks good, but my desk is odd and I don't think it would fit under the small raise platform on the right hand side

Has anyone tried the 'razer armadillo'? Or is there something around that size?

Razer has two types of cord holder: Armadillo II and Mouse Bungee

But you shouldn't go with Mouse Bungee because it can't hold the thick stiff cord like Sensei's cord. Armadillo II is pretty good.

SteelSeries has something that's similar to Armadillo II:
CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 100
But it's weird that this item's only available on Japanese SteelSeries site.

How about this, TT Esports Galeru:

It's kinda small.

Ah, TT Esports introduced their new aluminum pad, Draconem, at CES 2014, this pad has a detachable cord holder:

I think that mousebungees are only good if you play at high sense so you can have a short cable between the mouse and the bungee. For lower sense I prefer the "pucks" like Razer Armadillo because it lets you put your cable in a nice curve on the table.
The original Armadillo is the best holder I've had, the new one is good but not as flexible and not as cool. At the moment I'm using the Quad Gaming "The mouse rock" and it's probably the coolest holder out there.

Thanks all, that gives me an idea what's out there. Not much availability of the different models here it seems, I may be stuck with the armadillo 2 (can't find any other of the 'pucks' in stock), as the bungee option looks like I'd have to reroute the cable back on itself by stuffing it behind my monitor.

Is there anything much to say about how the pucks 'perform' compared to each other? I'm thinking it's all good so long as the thing removes drag and doesn't create any feeling of pull itself like it does often if you electrical tape the mouse wire.

Not really. As long it's heavy enough to not move by the strain on the cable they should all be identical apart from how the cable comes out of the puck. Like the Armadillo that holds the cable vertically and my Mouse Rock that holds it vertically.
One flaw with the new Armadillo is that is can give some ugly marks on the cable if you have a rubber cable. The Mouse Rock is on the other hand very forgiving on the cable.

Ah, that helps a lot. Thanks!

I'll grab the armadillo 2 then :)
