I was thinking about buying a Mac Pro but they have really crappy 5770 graphics cards in them. I was hoping that you could tweak it and put a 680 in there. Is it possible?
Have you done this kind of thing before ?
about this, if the card is not a normal one, if it uses a smaller connector, you should buy a converter, they are $10 eah on ebay.

Hi Guys,
I've got the gtx 680 working in my mac pro, but I've hit a snag...
It's not using the GPU for anything! Anything that refers to a GPU (istat menus for example) doesn't recognise that there's a GPU there to look at.
I was planning to use the 680 to accelerate Final Cut Pro. Any ideas? If not, I'll just have to send it back.
I know there's a 'mac edition'... which is nearly twice what I paid for this one - so if it's possible to make this one work I'd rather not pay the extra!
Thanks in advance for your help!
Cheers,
Mike
