Is there a program that can test input lag specifically?
I'd like to see if my WMO 1.1A or FK is the more responsive mouse.

I know lol I doubt any of us have professional high speed cameras but hm lets find out
I think my institute has one, or at least had. But I lack everything else, like a 144 Hz screen for example
That doesn't mean you couldn't use it to measure mouse input lag. Just take away the custom mouse component and use the high speed camera with a swipe of the wrist.
Yes I was just pointing that out because of the people that said the test was wrong, the test was made to compare v-sync off and g-sync and at that it succeeded.
it would be great if you can try some diffrent windows and bios settings to validate if they lower input lag. im thinking of maximum pre-render frames 1-2-3-0 and some other things.Originally Posted by thuNDa
ok, my (good)casio exilim ex-zr100 arrived today.
Now it's just a matter of what's the best way to perform the tests.
With 1000fps, the method i found(m_yaw 0, m_pitch very high - looking immediatly in the air when i pull on the cable), shows an inputlag of ~32ms(xornet) until it updates on my samsung 2233rz@120hz, which should be a realistical value.
need to try it later with better light tho.![]()

counted the frames in "VSDC Free Video Editor", using the keyboard to jump to next frame.
i don't think that you can measure it so accurately, with the assumption that those bios tweaks can maybe affect the inputlag in the low single digit milliseconds, if at all.Originally Posted by nocebo

r0ach has some suggestions about settings that will lower inputlag http://www.overclock.net/t/1433882/gaming-and-mouse-response-bios-optimization-guide-for-modern-pc-hardware-2013-r0ach-edition maybe try a couple of them?
The game and the graphics card might also be delaying stuff before they start sending out a changed image based on the mouse update.

funny thing is the program actually has a function to measure inputlag based on putting your mouse against the screen with a moving image.
Too bad it doesn't get nowhere near consistent results, even taping CDs to the bottom of the mouse to maintain constant distance.
I don't know maybe with super high LOD it works ^^
maybe if the 2233rz had 0ms input lag, which it does notOriginally Posted by the1freeMan

Actually to test those settings I believe a program can be made. At least on a CPU level.

Nice going! That would mean that, considering ~8ms refresh, the Xornet has a lag of between 25 and 32ms.
You should repeat the test more than one time and get average values.
