Hey there, need some advice fellas.

For about two-three weeks now. My GPU's have been overheating for no reason while idle. They reach 65 C while I'm not doing anything. I checked my activity monitor and my CPU and memory aren't being bogged down by anything. For some odd reason in Afterburner, I get 99% GPU usage from my first GPU. I got the latest 14.4 drivers. It happens after my computer has been on for a while. I'd estimate about 30 mins or so.

I did a full system scan and had a couple of spywares according to malwarebytes but it seems it got rid of most of the trash that was crawling around in my computer.

Both GPU's are free of dust and my case is clean and has a good airflow. What worries me is the high random usage.

Edit: My meory usage is about 36% while I do nothing though and I have multiple instances of Google chrome taking hundreds of MB of memory while I only have one page opened.

Edit: Found out the mail app of Windows 8 is using 300MB of memory and when I closed it my GPU usage dropped down to 0% and the temperature sharply decreased.

Just updated the OP. Mail app is causing the issue. I closed it down and the fans stopped spinning, the usage went down to 0% and the temperature dropped back to normal levels.

I had disabled Windows updates because it was causing BSOD on boot. I'll try to do all the latest updates to see if it fixes the issue.

That is not overheating...

Clean out heat sinks, apply new TIM, adjust fan settings.
