I came to the conclusion these are the best quality keyboards/the ones I like more/I can afford (no Cooler Master, No Topre).

By their looks I'd sure pick the Corsair.. but to see a Filco with no backlighting costs even more makes me think it has some more quality.

So my questions are: what does a Filco have more than a Corsair. Secondary question, how does a Ducky Shine 3/4 compare with the Filco.

For example I see the Corsair is made in China the other 2 are made in Taiwan.. but what does this mean in practical terms?

I have the corsair k65 rgb and the ducky shine 3, I prefer the feel and build of the corsair tbh. I prefer the way they elivate the keys so you can see the switches aswell, it ends up looking really immense especially with lighting. Also the back plate of the corsair is aluminium and comes with a nice wrist rest.

build quality wise, the filco or the ducky ( which are about even ) for sure over the corsair.

While the corsair is cool looking, flashy, and gamery, their keyboards have been plagued with issues, notably the dying LED's which is still present in the RGB line.

Filco and Ducky are basically the top 2 consumer keyboard brands in the market. While expensive, they are totally worth it.
( though if you're looking for a basic yet super solid budget board, look at the Cooler Master quick fire rapid, and the quickfire XT, both of those are budget kings )

Can you translate that "quality" into material things (LEDS aside)

Do the keys feel better when pressed? Is keycaps surface more comfortable to the fingers?.. I just sent back too many keyboards and don't want to make Amazon mad, otherwise I'd order all of these and try myself.

don't worry about amazon, their CS is awesome.

Overall, ducky and filco keyboards are just so much more solid feeling. they both have clean simple looks to them, and internally, the PCB's are much better. ( better soldering, dore durable PCB's )

The stock keycaps in most keyboards suck, and I always recommend replacing them as soon as you can. But with the corsair, they don't follow the standard keycap layout, so any aftermarket set you buy, some keys won't fit on the board.

Corsair does not sell replacement keys, so if anything happens, you're pretty much out of luck.

thanks for your useful information.

What are the best/good aftermarket keycaps then?

Ah, and do you know about Deck, WASD? (same level as Ducky?).

WASD is pretty good, I don't know much about deck though. ( hear good things ) I've just never messed with one myself.

Anything PBT will be a long lasting keycap set.

For after market caps, ABS doubleshot or PBT, quality is going to depend on manufacturer

Typically Taihao -> Signature Plastics -> GMK / Imsto and so on
Ctrlalt is having a few buys right now you might want to check out

With WASD I mainly hear about pinging issues, but I get pinging in some of my boards as well and it doesn't bother me.
Deck I hear good things as well, the main detraction from Deck has been the legends.

If you want backlighting it depends on what you want, if you want one solid color, or are willing to use color pads with white LEDs, the Ducky may be what you want.
If you don't care for backlighting, typically Filco or KUL is nice.

thanks all of you.

After trying a Logitech G910, G710, a Corsair K70, I decided to order a Majestouch 2 (that can't be returned, so it's final), and send the other 3 back. I was curious about Topre but it costs much and I like hard keys (I guess Realforce tends to be "soft"), WASD wasn't a choice anymore because it led to $50 for deliver + $50 for customs duty.

Assuming that something packed with less features, no backlighting, and costing more, should be better. What that ""better" is, I'll soon know.

I think great keycaps are essential, and will research for them later (starting from the info you gave me here).

Fun fact:
Corsair and Logitech use the same layout (K70/K95/G710+, etc).

The corsair keycaps (function/mod keys and the spacebar) are interchangeable with the Logitech G710+ (obviously not the G910).

The keycap oem might be the same (someone mentioned something about this before)

I have owned everything from Razer to Filco/Topre and beside the blackwidow which was really laughable, all the other boards feel equally soild. Fun fact: my first batch Filco Camo crapped out after 3 years, I'm waiting for my new cable to arrive.

It looks like LED lighting and Cherry switches just can't marry well. This is why they looked for another way with the G910, but that thing is obnoxious for anything but gaming.

I got it yesterday. Sincerely, it's a little awesome to see how the same Cherry switches never feel the same from keyboard to keyboard. I am not speaking of the G710 (has O-rings), but the blue switches don't feel the same on Corsair's K70 and this Majestouch. They are more reactive, and allow for faster typing on the latter. "Smoother", maybe? What's sure, different.

To close the thread, I can say that: the Filco is better for any serious typists, this takes 30 seconds to get obvious.
The G710 and K70 are probably a better choice for anybody else (and probably were for me): better looks (totally gorgeous for the K70), media controls, backlighting (comfortable in the dark), more robust and trust-inspiring USB cables.
All in all, I felt better with the G710/K70, but I admit the key response on this Filco is a delight, for purists.

Just to make it clear: if you are a fast typist, the Filco will have you gain some speed over the other 2.
(And I can presume a Filco with red switches has an adge over the G710/K70 in gaming, but it's a presumption.)

that's all
