"Little Gene" - Asus z97 Micro "ROG" - i7 4790k - H20 Cooled

Welcome to my Little Gene build. This micro build will be in the high end form factor of gaming and looking after my NAV centre as well. It will be in the all New Thermaltake Core V21 Micro case.

My first ever build in water cooling was into a Thermaltake case. It was not this size case but those days in the full tower cases. This will be a great project for me as this will be the first small form factor i will be doing. I have build other water cooled systems before. I think this one is going to be fun.

I am also going to look at the functionality of these new cases for water cooling comparing to the offerings out there. So i hope you will join me on this build and give me your thoughts and input on it. They are most welcome.

This will be my second build log on OCN running next to my main build the SHOCKWAVE I have already ordered all the parts to this system and would like to say thanks to PC CASE GEAR for been so helpful.

The Thermaltake Core V21 Micro Chassis sports a quadrate micro-ATX based chassis that offers an endless stackable and flexible thermal solution. It allows externally-modular upgrades for enthusiasts to create dual systems.

Hey Grim wow was it? Dam you and me are so close in doing the same things wow. Ye all the parts arrive tomorrow and there we go another build. Always wanted to go a bit smaller. I was going to use another sort of case but i thought why not give Thermaltake a go again as they where the first case i ever made a WC in and i think this baby is going to fun next to the bigger baby lol.

Yeah they had none why I ordered, as well as the rest of the items I needed. They've let me down far too many times lately...even on some Goldeneye parts

I meant PCCG. They've messed up every order of mine and my friends in the last 12 months in one way of another. It sucks because they have things that others done here in AU. For anything I do that is paid now, I don't use them, cant rely on them one bit.

Finally a V21 build! Could you check the maximum amount of 240 rads possible when you start building? I know that you can have 2 on the top, one in the front and maybe one on the non-window side?
Also, how hard do you think it is to mod room for 2x240 in the front?

I must be lucky so far they have taken everything back that i don't like or want and i have have re-ordered other stuff i never had any issues. Wierd

Wow first one Wow -- Welcome. Ye sure thing, i will check on that for you and will let you know. I have all the parts arriving over the next few day or so. I will post it up once i get things up and running

Don't want to hijack your thread, but I've placed at least 15 orders with PCCG over the last few months and had absolutely no problems. They also seem to have a pretty good rep on aussie forums, so maybe Grimdoctor has been pretty unlucky.

Well Little Gene received its little centre peace today.

Picked up the motherboard from the shops today.

I must say what a absolutely good looking mobo this is. Its so small OMG
