Due to starting work in another state, I had to leave most of my gaming setup at home. While I brought my G100s with me, I underestimated the need for a decent mousepad. Not wanting to spend money on an actual brand name mousepad, I branched out to the shady world of counterfeit mousepads on aliexpress. I quickly honed in on a Goliathus Control pad selling from China for $3.75, free shipping, with dimensions (300mm x 250mm) never seen on an authentic Razer Goliathus and YOLO ordered. In about 2 weeks the shipment came in, and I gotta say I'm really impressed.

The mousepad was shipped in a plastic bag with that tag on the top. Seems legit.

I never used an authentic Goliathus Control, but it definitely feels to me like they got the bumpy weave of the mousepad down pat. There is a slight tactile feel to swiping across the pad and the friction is extremely low.

Edges of the mousepad are stitched nicely. I'm quite sure this thing wont fray or irritate your wrists.

All in all I'm really satisfied with this mousepad. I'm starting to see that the markup on mousepads is INSANE and for only $3.75, this mousepad feels great and has even less friction than the Puretrak Talent I have back home (which I don't use anymore). If you're thinking of picking this pad up you can find it here: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/2014-new-goliathus-gaming-mouse-pad-300-250-2mm-locking-edge-mouse-mat-speed-version-for/32248740634.html

With a little searching, you can find them in larger sizes or in Speed editions if you wish.

Too bad they don't make one without Razer's graphics on it. An all black version for <$5 would be pretty nice. At least it's not the horrible new design they have now.

Somebody should do a side by side comparison/review with a legit Goliathus Control.

Looks good dude! I had a question about the mouse itself actually. I'm planning on getting a G100s to replace my beloved Logitech MX300. How is it treating you so far? Also, I know the middle button is for changing DPI but can you program it so that it functions as a back button? Thanks mate!

QFT.

A comparison with the real thing would be nice.

There is a surplus of feedback available on the G100s online. If you'd like my thoughts, I think that its extremely low weight (one of the lightest mice available once you take the weight out) and simple, unembellished ambidextrous shape make it a great handling mouse. Click latency is among the lowest of all mice as well. My big dislike about the mouse is that the click durability seems to be lacking. My left click is developing problems a few months in and I'll have to RMA it soon. I can't answer your question about reprogramming the DPI button because I never installed the Logitech software. I'm pretty sure you can, though.
