It seems like Vulkan will be supporting GTA V as AMD Roy replied telling them it will supporting Vulkan.

AMD wrote on twitter today "Get ready, RockstarGames GTAV is coming soon to a PC near you" making users like "artins90″ reply with "Mantle support would be great, open world games benefit from it the most but I don't think it's going to happen" but suddently Roy from AMD suprisgly replies back with "it will via Vulkan".

I'm scared to look any further into this.

I doubt it since Vulkan likely wont have drivers or a released spec by then.

Gotta wonder since they are going to all the trouble to use Vulan, if this means whey will release it for Linux. Seems to me, unless they do that, it will be pointless to program in Vulcan and not DirectX 12.

Because vulkan support windows 7...And no windows 10 until summer

Well let's see.
Linux, Mac, W7, W8 and nvidia's console come to mind.
Not what I would call pointless.

Again, like I said, unless they plan to release it on Linux (which includes Mac, since OSX is Linux), it is pointless. As far as Windows 7, I think that will be largely irrelevant quickly, since it will be a free upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 (and thus DirectX 12). Windows 10 beta smokes Windows 7 outside the business market.
