Looking quite good, but performance matters more than fancy settings

Looks excellent. Even given all the delays Im very pleased that RS went out of their way to create what should be a quality PC port.

The only thing I see is the "post fx" that I don't care for, as Im never entirely sure what this entails.

way to early to claim it is a quality port.
For all we know its another gta4 with performance issues all over the place. Or worse, a stutterdogs.

I understand that and I think it is a fair statement, though given what little we know about the title suggests that time has been spent on optimizing the port itself.

It is also fair to mention that we have another AAA title with high graphical fidelity and an open world settings. These titles are notorious for being very hardware demanding and sure enough we will see posts about users complaining that their 680gtx and i5 processor cant run the game at 1440p + ultra settings @ 60hz.........

Omg it's got raw mouse input option! This looks good.

I also don't love GTA that much, but GTA are good games and they are way better than the annual Call of Duty, Battlefield, Assasin's Creed or Far Cry. GTA is one of those games that some people just hate because it has become so big and mainstream. It's still a damn good game.

Those shadows though...

Hopefully that extra time to polish it was worth it.

Only thing keeping me from pre-ordering this game is the shoddy port that was GTA IV... I'm tempted, though... expect to buy this eventually and don't expect any decent sales for at least a year.

just got done reading this. If true. GTA V should be in good shape as far as performance. Time will tell

The PC version of Grand Theft Auto V is the result of a collaboration between the core Grand Theft Auto team and our lead PC developers from across all of Rockstar's studios," explains the Rockstar North team. "Over the past few years, we realised that in order to really improve our PC versions, the core games team had to work a lot more closely with our PC-focused developers."

"We first put this into practise with Max Payne 3 and we were really happy with the results, so the same key group that worked on Grand Theft Auto V was much more involved in the development of the PC version this time around.

PC Gamer has already played the game. Read their review. They said the game looks so amazingly stunning over console plus the 60fps which you cant get on any console, it feels like a whole new game. They played it on 4K. They also confirmed the port was done really well which Im sure we all may find unbelievable.

I think the PC version will suprise everyone. This will be so much more epic over console, cant wait!!!

For the millionth time, Max Payne 3 wasn't a port. I know you might think "semantics", but no. Port means one thing in terms of software, and Max Payne 3 does NOT fit that criteria.

Holy settings....

I wonder hard it'll be to max. Seem to have support for everything, and even proper MSAA support which is getting rare. Gonna be rough to max with proper AA I bet.
