NF-P14s redux-1500 PWM would be a much better choice. Higher static pressure and more than likely will sound more pleasing. Also the SP140's static pressure is rated higher than the SP140's you linked, while the Noctua has been tested to produce even more pressure than the H110's stock fans are specced.

Or if the color doesn't offend you and you'd be willing to spend a more, NF-A14 PWM is slightly better than the NF-P14s. Probably not worth the premium though if you have no use for the stuff that comes with the A14. The redux only comes with fan screws while non-redux fans, like the A14 come with an extension cable, PWM Y-cable, fan speed reducer, useless rubber mounting thingydoodlers and fan screws.

Or you could cut your loses and bag the H110 for a top tier air cooler for less money and better cooling. Silver Arrow IB-E Extreme or similar comes to mind.

thx for your answer.
the NF-P14r is an excellent fan. It will definitely drop your noise levels a bit, but will not likely make much of a performance difference on the H110. They would definitely be a huge upgrade over any CM case fans.

Unfortunately, the H110 (and all CLCs) uses a high fpi aluminum radiator, so in order to operate effectively they require a lot of air flow and static.....which, of course, leads to noise. Since the rad is incredibly inefficient, there is only so much you are going to be able to do in terms of performance gains without it sounding like someone is attempting to land a six passenger helicopter in the room with you.

Top tier air coolers hard to install?

Installing an H80 (for a friend) was much harder than installing top tier air coolers like R1, NH-D15, PH-TC14PE or Silver Arrow IB-E. I find the Dark Rock Pro 3 a little harder to get aligned, but not much. Still easier than H80 and having to deal with stiff hoses, mounting radiator and fan, etc.

Top tier air coolers are definitely as easy or easier to install than CLCs.

Silly @doyll....the crew on the little sailboat does most of the install for you!

Yeah....other than that, I got nothing. No other possible explanation. But you got me wondering, how many times could I install and remove an R1 Ultimate, NH-D15 or TC14PE in the amount of time it would take me to install an H110. I would wager at least four on the R1.

That's because you R&R the air coolers more than the H110.

I've never mounted an H110 .. with or without the little sailboat crew's help, but yeah, the R1 is super easy .. almost too easy. NH-D15 & TC14PE are only slightly harder .. and Thermalright is only slightly more, but only because it uses phillips screws instead of thumb screws & nuts. Bequiet! are no harder as long as you know how to alight the cooler to the screws through motherboard.

The H110 is the same as every other Asetek. It isn't a difficult install at all, just more steps. Oh, and a lot of praying since you are tightening screws into thin aluminum - all those cries of "I stripped the radiator screw holes" aren't all from user error. You look at them wrong (or get crazy and try to mount it more than twice) and they strip if you aren't incredibly delicate with them.

Avast ye, mateys! Batten down the hatches! Raise the jib, haul wind and lock in that retention ring!

I have Noctua NF-P14 FLX on my H110 and it works great. One of the two stock H110 fans began making bearing noise after only 3 months on my rig, necessitating the fan replacement. The Noctuas are more quiet, with better performance than the stock fans. Definitely recommend them.

AAarrrMatey! The Swiftech flagged man o' wars H220-X and H240-X are ready to engage ye, and H140-X is watching.

If you want an AIO, the Swiftechs are the ones to go with. Hopefully some others are forthcoming with similar quality and abilities.

What KaffieneKing says is correct. They will not mount on your H110.
Yes,they are 140mm fans, but they have 105mm spaced mounting holes, the same as 120mm fans do. Standard 140mm fans have 124mm spaced mounting holes.
You needed to order the NF-P14S, not the NF-P14R.
