Hi guys,

I have a problem with my Gigabyte R9 280x (GV-R928XOC-3GD-GA). I bought it over ebay a month ago and had some overheating problems with it. Tried putting more fans in my pc and lowering the core/memory speed. Nothing worked. I think that today I found out what the problem is. The BIOS on the card is a GV-R928XOC-3GD.F60 which is, as I found out a bitcoin mining optimized one. That means that the ebay ********* sold me a card with a flashed bios! And now I can't play hardly any games without the card reaching >90°C

I would like to flash the original BIOS on the card .... but how? The gigabyte website (http://www.gigabyte.de/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4847#ov) offers 2 versions of which I cannot use anyone. The official tool won't work. I need help

My question is: which bios to choose and how to flash it on the card.

I would appreciate an answer,

Thank you very much!!!!

Here are some pictures of the GPU-Z and the BIOS Tool.

This is the volt mod section which usually isnt to busy. I would try the general amd graphic card section linked below, I have only really had nvidia cards so cant help much but that section is very busy and can definitely help you out. There might even be some threads in that section which cover this. Welcome to OCN.
