I just wonder all, that's all. Sensor would be something like the 3366 or 3310

Also, is it worth chaning mousemat? When I did some aim training, I switched mousemats and I did worse on the lower friction one - basically, I'm saying is it worth even chaning mousemat (because the change in friciton could throw me off)?

Black grainy plastic. Basically those black hard pads.

You'll get used to a new mousepad sooner or later. It depends on a person. Also it's your choice changing it. Everyone has different preferences.

How well does that type compare to the QCK?

Generally speaking, are Plastic mats are better?

EDIT: I spent the better part of 100 CSGO hours on a hard mat and it made for the most inconsistent playing I've ever done due to it's low friction (QPAD HeatoN XL). Not sure it's worth switching.

apparently black hard pad, but i see no better or worse sensor performance if i switch between black cloth and black plastic..
i mostly use plastic because i dislike the feel of cloth pads on my skin

anyway, i'd say it practically doesn't matter. all i know is that my mice perform bad on my aluminium pad.
if your primary concern is sensor performance, i would just take the safe bet and go for dark cloth or dark plastic

also.. chaning? if you meant changing, then S008 said it right.

What size of pad (or model) of you have out of interest?

Also (not directed to you Bucake, but thanks

) as far as Cloth pads go, which brand offers the best tracking?

3310, am010, 3898, 3366 sensors do a really good job tracking every surface. Not worth sacrificing comfort and high friction of a cloth pad for (supposedly) better tracking in your case.
Got to test a logitech g440, and I'd never sacrifice cloth pads for hard ones. I didn't notice a difference in the tracking and the slick surface isn't my cup of tea. Now use a "Gembird Gaming Pad", used to use a QCK+.

Any one-colour pad. Could be any colour. Some sensors (e.g 3090) don't like the change of colour of a surface because they "see" in black and white, and adjusts white balance according to your pads' colour. Rapid change in white balance could spaz out the sensor.
Brand doesn't make a difference, non-branded ones work the same. I'd recommend getting something that is available in your area, is the right size, satisfies your right amount of friction needs and comfort level.
If you are used to the qck and like it a lot why not buy another one? Unless you have some problems (mine has dust problems) or you want to change something we can recommend you something if you give us what you want in a pad.

Thanks for the reply! I'm going to stick with the QCK because it works, and I still remember all the time I wasted trying to get used to a [fair enough, very] different mousemat.

Someone could make a lot of money if they made a Hard mousemat with high levels of friction (like a cloth pad) and had it sized >40cm in length.

Worse for DA 3.5G iirc. Some sensors don't like it when a pad uses patterns and different colors. It probably would give a higher LOD than the QcK tho.
