I read alot of the reviews and instructions, and so what I got so far is a stable overclock of 4.1 @ 1.275. I had run prime95 for 24hrs but when I test other clock speeds the computer will freeze and not bsod. Also, temps are fine (never go higher than 70c). I'd just like a little help trying to push this thing a little further

If you want a quick and easy way into a OC with your ASUS board, you can use their AISuite III 4-Way Optimization OC tool:
(though in the end you'll be far better off reading and understanding NickN's 4770k OC guide, as linked above)

i do the 1 click 4 way optimization. it took my delid 4770k to 4400 on 2 cores and 4500 on the other 2 cores (i think, it kind of confuses me on where exactly it sets each core to).

but i notice the 1 click takes it a step too far. it runs fine until i encode a video to burn on blu ray, which can take 3 - 5 hours (AVCHD); then my computer will blue screen. so i have to go into the tpu settings of the Asus AI Suite and take them all back a notch. where it shows you the OC on 1 core, 2 cores, 3 cores, and 4 cores. i drop them all down 1 notch. so mine now says 4400mhz on 1 core, 4300 on 2 cores, 4300 on 3 cores, and 4200 on 4 cores.

i take this to mean when all cores are running it goes a bit slower, but is more stable. on 1 or 2 cores it will go faster but not stress the CPU as much since the other 2 cores arent being pushed nearly at all.

my only question, is how do you OC ram??? any good links for that? i have crucial ballistics vlp 1600mhz ram (2 x 8gb). its set to XMP. reviews on the ram says its OC friendly and 3 separate articles say they hit 2200. i have the settings, i just dont have any idea how to implement them. (or if its even worth it for some video encoding and gaming).

1.35v = 9,9,9,24,2t = 1600mhz
1.35v = 10,11,11,31,1n = 1866mhz
1.65v = 11,13,13,31,1n = 2200mhz

Get into the bios -> advanced mode -> AI Tweaker

Set your frequency then scroll down and set the dram voltage, then scroll up a bit and enter "DRAM Timing Control"

Set the timings here then save settings & reboot.

And make sure to put your rig in your sig sometimes
