Hello guys, my options at the moment are only those two, I want to know which one is better, I mean, I know both are TN panel, 144hz, 1ms, 24'' 1080p, but is there any other differences between these two that makes one better than the other?
Which model would be the G-Sync variant?Originally Posted by dilster97
I quite like the "S Switch" on my XL2430T. Little circle thing lets you navigate the monitor's settings easier imo.
Downside to the XL2430T is the out of the box colour. (Please don't rag the fact that it's a TN, c'mon people) The pre done FPS settings look terrible imo. Just avoid those altogether.
Can't speak for the VG248QE much. The G-SYNC variant would be cool to get.
I don't think it was an actual variant. There was an upgrade kit a while back to convert the standard monitor
But do you recommend the Asus over the Benq? Unfortunately these are the only options for me here in BrazilOriginally Posted by MenacingTuba
They both suck compared to the similarly priced LG 24GM77 (back-light strobing) and Viewsonic XG2401 (48-144hz Free-Sync). The XL2430T has awful image quality which can barely be improved while the VG248QE is ok (or abysmal if Lightboost is enabled), but is a 3 year old with LED PWM Dimming or Flicker which ruins motion clarity and makes some people suffer from health issues like headaches and/or eyestrain:

Out of my personal experience having owned both and comparing the two side by side, I'd have to say the Benq would be my choice. It takes more work to get the IQ straightened out, but the performance to me seems slightly better than the Asus. It also feels like a higher quality monitor as well.
No. Buy the BenQ if you don't want to wait for a good 144hz monitor to come out. Make sure to change it from the default FPS Picture Mode to Standard, as well as set the Color Temperature setting to User, otherwise it will look awful.
Alright, nice to know that from someone who had bothOriginally Posted by Shaitan

Ok, but which settings do you recommend in User Color Temperature? Currently I have one XL2420T and I really don't like the colors, using 100% R G B.
This varies between each individual monitor, but the User Color Temperature setting almost always improves BenQ monitors color accuracy versus the Normal setting. The XL2430T is actually a downgrade image quality wise from the XL2420T, so don't waste your money since the extra 24hz is negligible. Keep the XL2420T until something truly better (Acer XB241H, AOC G2460PG, LG 24GM77, Viewsonic XG2401) becomes available.
I see... the problem is that my XL2420T is 5 years old and is starting to have some problems, the colors are a little pinkish now, and there is some settings I set that make my screen go pixelated and weird, so I really need a new one, and what about the XL2720Z comparing to XL2430T?Originally Posted by MenacingTuba

Yeah but I forgot to mention mine is starting to get defective, when I change for example Contrast from 50 to 100, there are some of these values between in which make my screen pixelated and pink.
The XL2720Z is vastly superior compared to the VG248QE and XL2430T, but make sure to set it to the Standard mode and Color Temperature to User.Originally Posted by ViTosS

Set the contrast back to 50 since 50 is the best value. Raising BenQ monitors contrast setting causes color bleaching (colors become to bright and blend resulting in shade loss) and a pink tint.
Simply because this model doesn't exist in my country, so I have to decide between Asus VG248QE, BenQ XL2430T or XL2720Z
