I got some GT-5000 grip tape about a month ago to use on a few mice that don't have a rubber grip on the side. I tested it on the SteelSeries Sensei RAW, Logitech G303, and Roccat Kone Pure Military.

Here are some pics of the mice with the grip tape:

The GT-5000 grip tape off amazon comes with a couple 2" x 8" strips that can be used on at least a few mice. Pieces can be cut pretty easily to fit perfectly on the sides of a mouse and stick well over curved surfaces, which I cleaned with rubbing alcohol before applying. The RKP was the first mouse I tried it on, and I could do a better job with that mouse, but I don't use it that much. I've been using my Sensei RAW with the grip tape for a few weeks without any issues like edges peeling. I'm not sure how it will hold up over months, but it's meant to be used on stuff like firearms so I think it will be fine. The grip tape should work on smooth surfaces that are plastic, metallic, or rubber coated surfaces like with the Sensei RAW.

The grippyness of the surface is really good, a mixture of coarse and rubbery. When my hand gets sweaty, it still works well, unlike the rubber side grip of my Mionix Castor. I prefer using my Sensei RAW with the grip tape mod to my Mionix Castor now. It also makes the G303 significantly more usable for me (precision gripping and long term comfort with grip tape applied to both sides). I'm fairly impressed with this grip tape and would prefer using it to a built-in rubber side grip.

Nice. Seems like they have international shipping. How much is included in one package and how much was it?

I wonder how many layers you have to use of electrical tape or duct take if you dont care about the coating to make mice from the past year any decent size...

Like the EC-1's make it a few mm wider and longer by pure tape heh

Yeah thought so, it's just the description as "tape" implies something else which I would've preferred. I'm testing a variety of solutions to apply on my G502 that I removed the rubber grips from.

soo, you could say you got a grip on modding.. xD

I wish you started this thread a few weeks ago when the side grip on my Deathadder 2013 fell off. I was able to come up with a pretty good solution though, replacing it (and the opposite side) with some extra badminton grip tape I had laying around the house but I have a feeling this would have been a better approach.

Very jealous of the fact you guys in the US can buy this GT-5000 grip tape anywhere.

Here in Convict Town, it's BANNED from importation hence no way in hell it will ever arrive here without the customs scum confiscating it.

Convict town? You know I really doubt customs would even find it, and even if they did find it, why would they bother confiscating it. It's not like it's radiation tape or something.

After removing the side panels from my G302 I closed them with tape.

It's tape for a tennis racket.

I often use tape for an extended right button. For this I take a piece of copper strip and glue it to the right mouse button. And cover it with grip tape.

I ordered some GT-5000 grip tape. But for me it's a little bit rough and strangely some kind of slight splipery. Idk why or how I could discribe it better....

AUSTRALIA, anything labeled "Gun Tape" isn't sold via Ebay to this place.

Can get nearly everything through Ebay but this type of Grip Tape, is impossible to get here.
