Well im looking to know what anyone think about ssd brand..

I got a crucial mx100 512gb without issue for now.. Except that i killed it with unexpected shutdown when overclocking without it pluggued on the sata cable but just on power..... Got rmaed and got a new one back...

Looking for a ssd for my other rigs with sata 2 with a amd fx 8300 for 24/7 folding and some game server.

Not sure if i should get a corsair le 480gb with less than 100tbw 150$

The samsung 850 evo 500gb with 150tbw 210$

Or the crucial mx200 with 160tbw 230$

Im in canada the mushkin is the same price as the corsair

For now it do seem crucial is know for reliability more than samsung.. But samsung is the best selling one.

The corsair seem to be a great deal at 150$ since i paid 220$ for my mx100 and mx200 should be cheaper...

IMO stick with Samsung, Intel and Crucial. All top tier brands and you just can't go wrong. Crucial and Samsung make great cheap drives, Samsung and Intel make great high end drives.

Personally would never touch a intel ssd since they kill themself before real failure. Well one review of tbw showed that some year ago..

But both samsung and crucial seem to be great... Now i need to choose one. Il see when i order

Well if the mtbf is to be taken into consideration (not exactly the best gauge of reliability though) the mushkin eco3 480 beats the crucial and corsair by 500k hrs

The Samsung is fastest, the crucial probably pretty reliable, but if it's between the corsair or my suggestion of mushkin I'd go mushkin.

I wouldn't discount Intel. They make the most reliable drives out there, the Intel 530, 730 and 750 are all amazing. Like Samsung they have an enterprise pedigree.

I can't recommend them at retail prices though, they tend to be pricey.

As to your original question, choosing between the 850 EVO and MX200 is easy. Get the cheaper one, there is so little difference other than what they cost.

Well the intel 535 480gb is currently cheaper than both samsung and crucial... Uh but a intel ssd in a amd rigs kinda sound strange

Gonna order in some week.. So i will choice one in those 3 brand that is the cheapest.

Intel is a great company but... Their Intel extreme motherboard where kinda garbage. So that why i stay aways from there ssd... But they do seem to be the most reliable
