It isn't released on the xboxone. I doubt it will run very well on the ps4 either. games on consoles have been notorious to run like ****. Well anything but sports and low budget games of course.

Sure, and that's coming from someone who explained me the minimum requirements while I was explicitily asking for the recommended system requirements.

and when he finally realizes it's the recommended system requirements I'm asking for he recommends me 16gb of ram and google....

Ha! x2

Let's recap since scrolling up isn't apart of your basic computing skills.

Your original questions.

Weird mininum (minimum)requirements, 8 gb of ram? I3 come in all shapes and sizes and the first I3's are weaker than the ps4 cpu and that's already quite weak for todays (today's) standards.

This for a game that is mostly procedurally generated, I expect some computing to be done on the gpu on the ps4, I can't see a lot of headroom on the cpu since there's a lot of ai with the animals on the planets.

I can't see this game running at 60 fps on the ps4 and I think the recommend system requirements will be well beyond the minimum.

Any ideas?
My answer to your question.

If it's a GTX 480 GPU that was released in 2010, one can safely assume that the lowest i3 you can get for this would be a Sandy Bridge i3. I wouldn't bother with a Nehalem i3 as that's just pushing it.

Something thought and a little bit of google'ing can't solve

Your response. Ahh mistake on my part. Let me change my answer then.

My totally legit answer but it wasn't the one you wanted. Nobody knows what is is so the next step would be to ask the devs.

And here, your asking for an educated guess.

In which I deliver.

I don't think the gtx 760 is much better than the gtx 480 and that's the minimum.
Which I delivered again and even gave a reason as to why 16GB is better then buying 8GB at the current price point. Want an even better explanation for 16GB. NMS is infinite. Infinite planets, solar systems, textures, shaders, etc. Gotta load that in system ram as well as whatever Windows and background crap you have. Better to have to much ram then not enough especially for a game we literally Have..No..Recommended..Specs..From..The..Actual..Devs.... Google is a hell of a drug.

16BG of ram because it's cheap as hell now and no sense getting 8GB.

Why don't you just Google around and come up with your own recommendation or contact the devs and maybe ask them since it's their game?!?

Like seriously....

What makes it hilarious is that there was someone else who didn't answer your original question correctly and someone even agreed with one of my "educated guesses".

Enjoy your copy of NMS on launch day and the infinite possibilities has. I hope your current system specification truly meet the minimum requirements.

I can't wait to see how this game stresses hardware.

I predict strong IPC and fast RAM for starters. This game screams a need for some CPU horsepower IMO.

That doesn't mean it's going to run well.
