It's an old Logitech MX620 laser mouse I got second hand that I thought I would use in place of my even older mouse. If I move it across my screen I can see the cursor stop for a split second every now and then. I tried different settings in the software but nothing seems to help. I thought maybe the receiver was a little too far and experiencing interferencing but I moved it to the port on my keyboard and even with just 5 inches apart it still sticks. It can get pretty aggravating when you're working on things that need precision - gaming, photo editing, spreadsheets...etc. I went back to my Microsoft Wireless Intellimouse 2 and can immediately feel the better tracking precision and no sticking.

It's a nice looking and feeling mouse and would like to continue using it but the sticking drove me nuts.

wireless lag. try better/new batteries?

Look for a driver for the mouse model?

Use a damp cotton swap to clean the lens around the laser and check for dust, make sure there is new batteries...

Are you sure it wasn't nuts that lead to the sticking?
