Hey, I've got myself a EVGA 980ti SC that I'm wanting to watercool, when searching for a GPU block, I ran into some walls...

It turns out my GPU isn't compatible with any full cover blocks as it uses a slightly different EVGA PCB variant, Pictured here.

Here's my GPU,

is this true? am i fked?

I would call EK and double check with them, but I believe the reason you don't see a full cover block is because you need to buy a Titan X block. The Titan X card came out before the 980ti and because the PCB is the same layout, I don't think they ever made blocks specifically for the 980ti. Just go in and select the Titan X SC and it all should fit your 980ti.

This. I think EK only made blocks for custom PCB 980 Tis. Cards with reference PCBs can use the Titan X block.

I have three of the same card, and I ran into the issue you are having. EK isn't very clear about the TitanX block being compatible with this card or not. In some places it says it is, in others it says it isn't. It appears to have something to do with the PCB being stamped with "NVIDIA" or "EVGA".

I just sent an email to EK asking them directly if the TitanX full block is compatible with my card. I'll post an update when I find out.

Let me be absolutely sure...

You have the EVGA 980 TI Superclocked+ card with "EVGA" printed on the PCB by the slot contacts?

Not the EVGA 980 TI Superclocked, but the Superclocked+?

Not the EVGA 980 TI Superclocked+ with "NVIDIA" printed on the PCB by the slot contacts?

I want to be sure, because EK seems to not know themselves...

This is the selection in the EK Configurator:

This is what is available if I choose the one without "EVGA PCB"

This is what is available if I choose the one with "EVGA PCB"

But the images they show don't seem to show a difference between the nvidia and evga pcbs...?

I'm not sure *** is going on here, but I'm not buying anything until I understand.

The response from EK Support:

Dear DixonCider

Thank you for contacting us.

Can you please be so kind and tell me the exact and full name of your cards and a PN number if possible?
Without that information, sadly I can't tell you exactly which water block is compatible with your cards.

But you probably have this one, right?
https://www.ekwb.com/configurator/step1_complist?gpu_gpus=1952

If that is the case here, than sadly as you can see in the link I provided, we don't have any compatible full cover water blocks for this card.
We can only offer you our universal VGA water blocks for them - https://www.ekwb.com/shop/water-blocks/vga-blocks/universal-vga-waterblocks

Best regards, Igor

So yeah, nothing for the EVGA 980 TI SC+.

Now I'm waiting on a response from Aqua Computer about this:

with the water block mentioned . it has been working for over 7 months with ocing no issues .

i can not verify the lettering near the pcix bord it is currently in system and i can not see it .

hopefully this helps .
