so recently i upgraded from an ax860i to an ax1200i , but someone also told me that the old ax1200 non i has better OEMs as compared to the newer ax1200i, is it true ?
HI . it is not true , ax1200 and ax1200i same oem. Made by flextronics. flextronics and delta electronics are the best psu manufacture ( according to me ) change your someone because dont know
for the ax1200
Can you prove ax1200 made by seasonic ? probably not. you dont know which oem made ax1200 but still type comment. before type do some search. do you know how to use Google or etcOriginally Posted by andre02
AX1200 - is made by Seasonic - great manufacturer
AX1200i - is made by Flextronics - they are a server-grade manufacturer, they seem really good, could be great also, but i don't know that much about them.
Some people prefer the older AX1200, but i also heard great things about the AX1200i.

this is exactly what i heard that ax1200 has OEMs made by seasonic which are better than the flextronics which are present in ax1200i , but the ax1200i is an excellent psu i just bought it a couple of days ago, i ran real bench the cpu benchmark and the unigene heaven the gpu benchmark both together the psu was running at 35C and the fan never turns on, it only turns on for a few seconds when i power my system
Thanks for your input, i was waiting for an owners reply, i agree with you its an excellent PSU. i was just curious is the self test always green and on ?Originally Posted by Prophet4NO1
I have an AX1200i. When it came out it was (if I am recalling correctly) the highest rated PSU by Jonny Guru. It is still one of the highest rated PSU's JG has tested. I think the AX1500i dethroned it and a couple others have been better as well. But not many.
As for Flextronics as a company, about as good as it gets. Every bit as good as Seasonic, if not a tad better. As stated by others they are mostly know for server hardware. PSU's built to run at heavy load 24/7 for years.

i have also used the digital capabilities only a handful of time as all my usb2.0 internal slots are occupied by the cpu cooler, nzxt hue+ and the motherboard DAC .. i have ordered the nzxt internal usb expansion, alas it is still stuck in the states :'(
