I'm getting older (not really) and my body aches more, especially my index finger. I do a lot of clicking on the middle/mouse wheel and it really puts a lot of strain on my finger.

I am looking for a mouse that has a soft and easy to click. I have a Logitech M500 and it's pretty tough to click. Any suggestions? I looked on a few ergonomic mouse sites and none mentioned having an easy to click middle button.

I can attest to the Microsoft Intellimouse Optical's wheel being easy to press. It's the only mouse I am willing to use. I like it so much that I actually stocked up with several extra a while back. lol

Not to be confused with other Intellimouse mice, like the Explorer.

Who cares, as long as the MLT04 is still being used today and tomorrow these mice shall be always loved and worshiped by people like us, the true believers

I'm not sure what the MLT04 is. I just like the IMO because of the side buttons, overall shape, and it's wired. So far, I haven't found a mouse that has a button on either side that can both be programmed simultaneously for pretty much anything. I use them for Back and Forward in web browsers and Windows Explorer.

I wish I had Googled it, but I was in a hurry to log out and start my day because I was running slightly late.
You don't need to know the specific sensor you are using, only enjoy using it because it is rare to have something built years ago and still functioning quite well in a variety of Operating Systems without fail.

This is something quite rare for any Company to build something that will last at least a decade or two.

Hey, that's a fun way to look at it. Interesting perspective! Until you shared your perspective with me, all I had was just that I'm using it because so far no one has created a mouse that I would rather use.

Errr...most mice have easy to click buttons. Middle/wheel buttons tend to be a bit stiffer more often but even then you can find plenty of options. You have to be more specific with what you're looking for.

If changing mouse itself doesn't help really much, you should try changing your grip to 131.
Thumb and pinky on sides and the other three on each separate buttons.
The workload on your index finger is less as all the scrolling and mid button clicking is done by your middle finger.
