I'm somewhat considering the Glorious XL Heavy.Originally Posted by munchzilla
Dechanic Control, it's on the slower side but really does those two things well for me. needs bigger feet IME.
so far Cougar Speed 2 works really well in that regard too. but I haven't had it for as long as the Dechanic.
Puretrak Talent also not a bad choice. just so slow... for me.
Glorious pads are also nice in that regard. the black ones.
Artisan Hien - maybe the best of the bunch, but the non stitched edges made it not work for me due to being smaller...
new mouse feet is probably the most important thing to try first though.
I really like it. it's probably the best middle ground out of all of these. medium fast, quite good static friction, and really comfy.

mousepads I've used in order
qck+, my first large mousepad which I used to learn to play on low sensitivities with, glide got poor after not much use and it felt flimsy
qck heavy, more durable and comfortable version of the qck+, glide got ****ty over time
puretrak talent, smoother, more even glide, and more consistent than qck, a bit too slow for me, and I started wanting a deskpad
dechanic control XXL, low static friction, easy small movements, but the textured surface was very uncomfortable for my hand and arm and felt weird under the mouse, like the glide was bumpy
reflex lab XXLmousepad, I didn't like the coated feeling
glorious gaming race XXXL, covers most of my desk and is pretty good for microadjustments and tracking, also easy to stop flickshots with
for context, I use either hyperglides or hotline gaming feet with my mice, and I mostly play CS:GO and Overwatch on roughly 50cm/360
Yeah, I haven't heard many people say bad things about the Glorious mouse pads. They definitely seem like a solid choice.
I'm not really that interested in purchasing an Artisan mouse pad, but thanks for the suggestion!Originally Posted by ncck
I swore I posted in this thread.. guess it didn't go through mobile.
For micro adjustments I have to say the best mousepad I've ever had for that was the Artisan Hien. I'm not sure what was so special about the surface but it would make the sensor just very... I don't know what the word is - but it for sure made tracking anything easier.
Downsides is price, size, and eventually they begin to absorb dust. Some people also find the hien uncomfortable on their skin - I didn't run into that issue but can see it being a possibility cause the surface was coarse..? I think that's the word I'm looking for.
I'm trialing the nixeus type-r but it's more on the control side. Out of those suggestions my personal favorite would be the steelseries qck heavy - with the runner up being the glorious XL and then last the zowie g-sr.Originally Posted by Flynes

Do you know if any of the more mainstream pads (Zowie G-SR, SteelSeries QcK+/Heavy, Glorious XL etc.) have good stopping ability as well as the ability to do micro adjustments with ease?
Just wondering, which mouse pad are you currently using?
Cool, thanks.

The Glorious XXL (i guess they are all the same more or less apart from thickness and size) is amazing. It is easy to make small adjustments (and steadily track enemies) and it isn't uncontrollably fast. Of course that also depends what type of mouse feet you use. The surface feels more slick and plastic like. But that is a good thing, since it doesn't change it's glide even if it gets humid or when your hands sweat a lot.
A lot of cloth mousepads that feel super comfortable suffer from getting sticky with higher humidity and sweaty hands. And then it becomes rather annoying to make adjustments on them.
A lot of people like the Zowie G-SR as well, i haven't tested it yet though.
The qck+ is one of those pads that feel nice when they are new but become slowish really quickly and the only ones that feel nice are the special edition ones. I felt like i had to replace my qck pad every 2 months or so (it also suffers from the humidity glide change).
Order both and then send the one you don't like back for a refund
