Is the 4:3 image stretched horizontally? By the way, "black bars on the side" is called pillarboxing. This post makes me want to bring up a related but tangential topic. Has any one ever watched Comcast's widescreen SD content on a widescreen display? The morons there decided to windowbox the picture if scaling/zooming is disabled. If the image is scaled to fit the screen, it's just stretched horizontally with letterboxing intact, rather than stretching on both axes as I expected. That obviously means the widescreen SD content is a pre-letterboxed image fit in to a 4:3 frame, with no metadata or flags implemented to assist the STB in properly scaling the picture, regardless of the display's aspect ratio x_xOriginally Posted by Blze001

The job posting for remastering old games had been up for a good while before the Starcraft announcement, and I expect that they went after Starcraft first primarily for the Korean competitive market. They'll probably have to wait for the Necromancer to fail to fix the systemic flaws in D3, though, before announcing it.
