What's the best way to clean/oil Glass/Aluminum Pad ?

I have the SteelSeries I-2 and it becomes dry after a while of use and then it becomes hard and scratchy to move the mouse. using some Screen Cleaner spray on the pad and moving the mouse over it again and again makes it smooth again for the time and then it happens again. is there anything better to use ? because it's so annoying . I remember I replaced mouse pad because of this, and now that I know the reason it's funny.. every feet I had should stayed for at least 6 months and I replaced them almost after 2 months because of this.

Any ideas ? something oily like screen cleaner but that stays longer.

I had an Icemat too.

It never felt like you describe tho. I never cleaned it, because there was no need; and I guess, that's why people like glass mousepads. And It wasn't the fastest mousepad ever; and it seems like that is what you want, a fast frictionless mousepad.

Try aluminum mousepads, or func 1030 and use the rough side. There's no other mousepad faster than those two.

Also, check if you have gunk from sweat accumulated on your mousefet, and try rubbing the mousefeet with a piece of cloth.

If you want durable mousefeet, buy some slicksurf feets.

Another thing, 'dried' is how all icemats feel. It isn't a fast mousepad. Durability and low static friction is its selling point for everybody.

And don't spray it with oil, cleaners, x. Just get used to it.

You won't be cleaning that mousepad forever.

it's still smooth but it's hard to move . It's clean but it's like dry bread which still smooth bit hard. after I oil it a bit it smooth the way I like . I have some aluminum pads . they are the same. matbe my country is way hot or the climate causing it. also slicksurf doesn't sell for g502 mouse. also in the search it says the site has been hacked or something and should not uss it till the message in the search is gone.

Ya, it showed the same to me last time I bought some. But you can contact them on their facebook page. They always reply instantly.

And yeah, maybe that's it, the dry air from where you live.

Try a very rough cloth pad, like goliathus control or a rough plastic pad, like func 1030.

You can also buy those teflon mousepads that you have to stick to your desk. Or you can buy teflon spray and spray the Icemat surface with it. It leaves a very thin teflon surface on any thing. It should last a ton longer, than those cleaning products you are using. It doesn't feel sticky to the skin, so it should feel good.

I wiped down my custom-made glass pad after every game, or sometimes mid-gaming.
bottle of water with spray top and microfiber cloth (the thin kind, not the fluffy kind).

otherwise it would build up dust and whatnot and get a bit scratchy or uneven.

can you show me a picture ?

some people like to laugh , but again I just want the solution and they can keep laughing , it's so annoying that the mouse doesn't move correctly.
