Hey guys. After about half a years use with this mouse, the rubber sides have started to fall off. It's been a minor issue for a bit longer but today marks the day I removed the adhesive, as it was clearly losing hold.

For anyone with this mouse or with a similar experience, what are some recommended ways to get the pads back on? Currently I'm just having them off and, while it's functional, it feels real off.

There is a DA Elite thread on the forums somewhere and this has been discussed. Seems like having glue issues with rubber pads like Razers is kind of unavoidable in some cases. I guess it's a trade off for having that kind of grip. Most people in the thread had great success with reattaching them with some form of superglue or other strong adhesive. If it was my mouse I would probably be inclined to go to the auto parts store and buy something along the lines of weatherstripping adhesive or something similar that is meant to bond to rubber, metal and plastic.

want to buy the mouse, have now da chroma not useing synapse..
i heard synapse doing problms with the mouse and sensor :\
DA elite have on Board memory?
just want ot save dpi
or i must use synapse with elite, btw eltie sensor is like g403 ? thx

I have noticed that the deathadder side grips come off quite easily. Mines didn't come off on their own, but I removed them myself since they made it harder to grip with sweaty hands. I was surprised on how easy they came off though since I thought it was going to take some muscle getting messy with the adhesive.

This wasn't really the right place to ask but as far as synapse and onboard memory the Death Adder Elite and the Chroma are the same as far as I know. The Death Adder elite and the G403 have basically the same sensor. I haven't heard of or had any issues with synapse. I would use it if you have a Razer mouse because if you don't you are stuck at 500hz polling rate and you should be running 1000hz for best performance.

you sure 1000hz are better than 500 on da elite?
i buy the mouse but ingame (csgo) 500 feel better with m_rawinput 1
and m_mousespeed 1

1000hz is always better in all circumstances. Running any mouse at 500hz causes input delay and click latency.

The detachment is not due solely to the adhesive they use, but it is part of the problem. The bigger problem in my case is that the grips stretch easily when shearing force is applied. When the grips eventually fell off, I rinsed them off with water, but I ended up stretching them out unintentionally. I ended up having to cut them down and reattached them with duct tape and superglue. The problem is even more pronounced with the scroll wheel; it absorbs moisture or hand-grease and stretches out, which makes it catch on the chassis during scrolling. I ended up cutting chunks out of it to make it fit back on. It's worth mentioning that the grips aren't rubber; they're some kind of synthetic silicone. Since this isn't the first time I've had this issue with grips or rubberized coatings in general, I'm starting to wish for a better grip solution. Maybe just solid plastic with the kind of knurled pattern cut into the sides like you'd see in typical metal hand-tools. That might make it easier to grip, but it would make cleaning difficult, too. I guess if the chassis was removable from the electronic components and could be submerged and scrubbed like all my other kitchen utensils a knurled plastic chassis might work.

When people who don't know what they are talking about try to be know-it-alls.

As the other person said, increasing your delay by 1ms isn't something to worry about, however a PC under heavy load may fall short of providing a full 1000hz without any variation so what you're suggesting is silly, there are uses for 500hz and in reality, there's no actual benefit from 1000hz aside from a negligible 1ms latency.

Having same problem as well? I've noticed the same thing. After almost a year of use. I've noticed that the rubber pads are coming out ever time I used my Razer Death adder Expert Mice. I think it is a adhesive problem. I would be thinking of using glue. But I think it "WOULD" damage something in it. I don't know. You will have to try it yourself or look online.

Hope you find a solution to your problem and my problem.
