Hi guys, first time posting in this thread!

I've just bought my birthday present, a 1080Ti Lightning Z

Amazing card, absolutely... consider i'm coming from a GTX 560Ti, so this it's just night and day to me.

I have a little problem though: MSI Afterburner detect the card only as a normal 1080Ti but not as a 1080Ti Lightning Z and I don't know how to change it. Can you please help me?



I'm using Windows 7 64bit and the last version of afterburner, the 4.4.0 Beta 12 (as you can see from the photo).Thanks in advance

Did you have any previous versions of afterburner installed and upgraded that to this version by chance?

Switch to LN2 bios.

can someone recommend a compatible HB SLI bridge for two Lightning Z in SLI that doesn't have the word 'gaming' or a dragon logo on it?

I'm putting it in my aging existing board (which I believe is only has 2 slots in between SLI PCIe x8 slots)...so I think I need a 3-slot one

Damn 1080ti Z in SLI.. the dream lol.

Playing around with my setup after i got my AF-14 fans install. Ended up overclocking the core 2000, undervolting to 1.0mv and bumping mem +500. rarely goes over 52C now.
The case fans helped out alot. I will play with max o/c in a couple of weeks.

did you figure this one out?

On AB 4.3 with x64 Win10 both of mine also only shows up as a vanilla Ti

My voltage slider is also greyed out.

Do you guys have voltage control set to standard or extended MSI? I've tried both...seems like no difference.

Hey guys!

Can i guys change anything on rgb ? I've had my Lightning z for about 2 weeks now and i still cant change anything on the RBG. The mystic light program from msi wont start on my computer. I have a Asus motherboard btw. It start to piss me of when its the only thing i cant chnage the color on in my pc atm, can't even turn it of.... Someone here got the same problem ?

Mine worked after I rebooted my PC.

MSI gaming app doesn't work on Asus motherboard, if u want to change the LED use the Mystic Light App which u can download here, its a win 10 64bits httpownload.msi.com/uti_exe/Mystic_Light_2.0.0.09.zip

Or download for other version of Windows here https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/support/GeForce-GTX-1080-Ti-LIGHTNING-Z.html#down-utility

I would say try and contact MSI support first and talk to them, probably on the phone. In the times I've called in they were really nice folks and helpful. That's why support is there and usually MSI has some of the best support staff in the business.
