I have posted here in the past my custom user.cfg's. Lots of people appreciated them in BF3, BF4, and BF1. Here is my user.cfg ver. 1.0 for BFV. Please let me know if you have any issues what so ever with it or have something to add so I can update it for everyone.

If you do experience problems with the user.cfg, take out a section of it via WordPad to narrow down what particular command is causing you issues.

Edit: Version 1.1 is now released!!! Big boost in FPS and in this version, the sun glare is toned down greatly. Please read the Readme file associated with it.

Whats the benefit?

Wrong, benefit is what I said, more FPS. Right, everything is turned off. However, it goes beyond that because you cannot turn off some of these things in game, hence the config.

Why so toxic?
Sorry I am ignorant can you explain what the difference is?

From what I already said, what do you need an explanation on?

Right, everything is turned off.

Maybe define "everything" since if you disabled everything you'd be staring a blank screen with 0 graphics at all ... since that's what everything means.

Just a guess.

Lol tough crowd :laughings:.

I don't play this game, but in general custom configs are to tweak settings that are not normally allowed to be changed through the games menus. Things like FOV, how many light sources, max objects to load at a time, etc can be tweaked depending on the game engine. This can adjust the graphics for more performance, higher visual quality, or just user preference beyond what you can get by just going to Escape-config-video settings in game. Also, you can sometimes partially disable things or adjust them more precisely than the generic preset LOW, MED, HIGH settings.

Not the same as just going in game and disabling everything.

Takes a long time to find a good combination of settings so if you don't like the cfg dont use it, but not fair to bash someone over it just because you don't understand what it does. If anything it can be a starting point for others to tweak things to their own likings.

OP, maybe a basic summary in the first post of some of the major changes would help people know what they are getting into :thumb:.

Yes thank you that was very helpful.

I am no longer publicly posting it because of the aforementioned toxicness of this community pertaining a config... really strange thing to be toxic about... So if you'd like it, hit me up via Discord.

I also have found a way to completely remove sun glare too. That might be useful to some people.
