Been playing this game since launch and it runs stutter free on a 4790k @ 4.6ghz, 32gb ddr3 c10 2400mhz and oc'ed Radeon VII. Your system should absolutely be great considering I play a 4k all ultra RARELY dipping below 65fps or so.

Are you on DX12 or DX11? DX12 is absolute garbage in this game and will stutter.
DX 12 will only stutter the firt round on every new map due to shader caching. Once the shader cacheing is done, the game runs smooth as butter in dx12. IF your cpu is fast enough ;)

This games is very hungry on cpu and memory speed/latency!

That is unplayable then. DX11 has always been smooth. Shouldn't have to have a whole round stutter on a game with so many map rotations.

Mind you, I haven't tried DX12 in months because the experience was poor at launch and was still poor the last I used it.

I have a 10900 I'll be swapping this 4790k for so I'll compare DX12 results, but I doubt it's going to make much of a difference at the res I play.

DX 12 is very smooth. Atleast with 20 series nvidia and 30 series nvidia. Sometimes the " shader caching" is done fast, and sometimes slower. Once it's done, the fps is higher than dx11 and even more smooth :)

I am now a bit upset with Definitive Edition and available WW2 guns.
From where all the rich boys buy their fancy weaponry?

Bren light machine gun, this is the only one this spiting bullets faster than all other slow turtles.

@Nizzen

Do you have any suggestions to help with stutter? I have a 6800XT and it 'hitches' - not quite stutters - but that 'hitch' you get every... 15 seconds? This is, I assume, after the cache has finished.

That's DX12. I tried DX11 once but on diff card.

If you have any suggestions / settings / user.cfg files and/or other tweaks you suggest I'd certainly appreciate them!

Must be Amd doing Amd things?

I haven't tried 6 series gpu in BF V, and I never will :)

Format c:\
Reinstall windows
Newwest bios
Enable SAM/rebar in bios
Newest drivers
Try BF V with dx12 again without dxr :)

Well I tried it again tonight, stutters for the first few minutes on my 4790k setup but it cleared up. Can't really see a big difference in performance but at 4k Ultra and a Radeon VII I'm obviously gpu bound. Absolutely a better experience than it was a few months ago for me.

Oddly enough, with DX11 my cpu would usually be at 70-90% use on 64 player maps but DX12 seemed to hover between 60-80%. Found it odd considering DX12 is typically more core heavy.

Need to make the switch to the 10900 I have sitting here and drop the res to really see the difference I suppose.

Cpu usage peg itself out when that happens? Also happen on other games? My 5700XT would do the same with certain driver versions.

No in fact I only see 80% usage on my 6800XT and the stutter is crazy bad and I only see about 60~75% CPU load. Other games are fine!
Annoying stuff that's for sure - hope you get it sorted.

THE GAME has nothing to do with MICROSOFT related issues in the development of W10 Operating system along DirectX 12.

By the use of Win7 and DirectX 11, we are enjoying a BUG FREE gaming and computing.

In bfv Dx12 is a buggy port for rtx. It came later and buggy. Simply don't use it, as stated by ex dice devs theirselves
No bug here with dx12 and BF V. Maybe your hardware is the problem? :)

DX12 runs fine for me in multiplayer only DXR / raytracing is quite weird. It works fine but the first game I play after launching the game is a stuttering mess, then the next map is a lot better but not gone, the 3rd map it's fine, no stuttering anymore. It's almost like it has a hard time building a (shader?) cache.

BF V has internal always active NET stats analyzer (Ping - ms delay and more) , I have set that to always visible along with the BF V FPS counter.
After a fresh map load, I am waiting few seconds until to get in the Game, so shader cache to be completed if this required.

Either way I do have now a perfect gaming experience, but with 70ms NET delay from Greece, I can be at top ten list of scorers at best.
Top three this looks as non possible when others gaming with 25ms NET (Servers location Germany) .
This is technical advantage for Germans, but it does forces others to fight with higher passion and be creative. :)

I mean, I'm from the Netherlands and net is perfect 20-25ms, it's just that running DXR makes FPS stutter very bad the first map. I can play just fine without DXR all settings maxed 1080p DX12 with basically 200FPS locked (with DXR 130-150FPS) just the stuttering is annoying as heck lol.

I do fine score wise. Always 2-2.5 KD as infantry and hitreg is very good compared to for example BF4. If something doesn't hit in BFV that's on me and my aim. In BF4 it's random. Sometimes half a magazine on a stationary target will just fail to register at all or I like hit a vehicle with a RPG / tank she'll and see the explosion but it doesn't trigger any actual damage. Really annoying when I finally slap a attack heli with a tank shell only to have it ghost hit...

I got today a sweet deal from Vodafone, so me to stay and renew contract at their network. :D
From ADSL hardware, I will be transferred at 50Mbits connection this be part of latest build optical fiber hardware.

It might take two weeks as delay about switching hardware, but I do feel happy all ready.
I will report back as soon I will be part of modernized Internet connection Network.

What do you consider as well performing keyboard for BF5?

I am now aware that combination of A,W,D,S, as direction arrows, along the use of Left-Shift (Walk-Run), this is a combination that badly designed keyboards they can not serve well.
Most cheap membrane RGB gaming keyboards they come along with unjustified larger spacing between keys, so the damn back light to look impressive.
Tested CORSAIR K55 for a week, this now my worst experience.
I am now thinking LOGITECH G213 PRODIGY as my next choice, its four years out in the market, and I did not read so far negative buzz about it.

If EA was paying us money as top winners? Then I would not care to invest even 300$ over a keyboard.

Ever tried something like a G13 logitech? It works pretty well once you get it programmed to my liking. Hilariously, the thing I like it best for is entering data into excel workbooks where I'm required to jump between different sheets constantly - I bind keys to those sheets / columns/cells and it saves me a lot of time and bother.
