The Gigabyte Aivia Krypton mouse is a nice welcome change to my gaming setup. I have had various Razer, Logitech and Microsoft gaming mice over the years. With each one there are of course pros and cons. Earlier this year I saw the Gigabyte Krypton mouse and decided I wanted to give it a try. Coming off of a Razer Deathadder 5300 the adjustable bases and weights have really led me to love this mouse. Dialing in your ideal weight will take some time, but will be well worth it.
The on the fly hardware sensitivity adjustment is a much nicer feature than through the Razer Synopse software version. It allows for more versitility durign matches and other computer related tasks. Also to make things easier there are a series of lights that let you know the DPI settings you have your mouse set too.
There are a lot of customizable parts to the mouse as far as mice go. Having two different bases (one for speed and one for precision), the various weights and the fact that the mouse is amidextrious. I do with there was a way to change the LED lighting colors of the mouse. Even though there are some nice cutomization features, I personally prefer the right or left handed mice as they feel more comfortable to me.
I personally do not feel I have very big hands, at least compared to other people I know. Although when using this mouse I feel liek the mouse is quite small. The Razer and Logitech seemed to fit my hands better. However, those were both right handed mice.
Now I personally and not a heavy hard core gamer. I have a few core games I like on my PC and this mouse plays, tracks and does just fine with all of them. Some of the games I have used this mouse with are: Witcher 2, Reckoning, Unreal Tournament 2k4, Transformers Fall & War for Cybertron, Star Wars the Force Unleashed, Supreme Commander 2, X-Com Unemy Unknown, Half-Life and Marvel Ultimate Alliance to name a few. I think that is a pretty wide spread of game types and this mouse does a great job with them all. I am not big on the twitch/fire games so I wouldn't be the best resource about things liek CoD or Battlefield.
I would say if your in the market for a new mouse and want something customizable, amidextrious and feels solid then I would reccomend this mouse.
