Hello, I have a quick question in fact I would like to put a bios of a ( Asus RTX 3070 STRIX GAMING OC ) on a ( RTX 3070 Aorus Master ) it could work or not at all ?

I have another question, And if the operation went wrong I can go back by injecting the backup of my bios from before ?

Yes, Yes, and Yes.

Or more specific: Yes it will probably work but typically you lose one or more video out ports.

You can reflash a backed up BIOS if you are not happy with the BIOS you just installed.

On the ( Asus RTX 3070 STRIX GAMING OC ) there are 3 DP slot and 2 HDMI slot on my ( RTX 3070 Aorus Master ) , 3 HDMI and 3 DP card in the logic of the thing I will lose how many slots exactly ?

EDIT:
this is the bios of my AORUS MASTER Card :
Gigabyte RTX 3070 VBIOS

And this is the ASUS so it will work 100% I really want to be sure and not do anything stupid
Asus RTX 3070 VBIOS

though they have the same number of hdmi and dp ports, it doesn't mean they will work as they wired the circuitry of those ports differently..

You do not want to do this flash. Your existing video card has the highest wattage BIOS available. If anything you will be losing performance and possibly dealing with non functional video out ports. Nothing to be gained from any available BIOS flash.

RTX 3070 Asus Strix OC = Board power limit Target: 280.0 W Limit: 350.0 W Adj. Range: -64%, +25%
RTX 3070 Aorus Master = Board power limit Target: 270.0 W Limit: 300.0 W Adj. Range: -63%, +11%

Of course yes I will have very important performances, otherwise I won't do everything it's approach here 🙂

Ahh I see I was wrong. The information I found said the Strix was a 280 watt card and the Aorus was listed as 300 watts.

You can give the Strix OC BIOS a try but be sure you have some way to flash the original BIOS to the card if it doesn't work. Your 3900X does not have onboard video so you might consider purchasing a Ryzen 5600G for the onboard video just in case. Or potentially using another pcie slot and an old video card.

I think you do not understand what I want explained to you in any case, The ( Strix 3070 has 350 Watt ) and the ( Aorus Master has 300 Watt ) , In short what I want to know is and what if it doesn't work I can always re-inject my backup of my bios from my card if it goes wrong ?

Yes I do understand, perhaps a bit of this was lost in translation.

Yes you can re flash the backup of your bios if something goes wrong. But what we do not know for certain is if you will have video on your screen after flashing the new bios. So the next step is to find out if you have some sort of backup option to display video in order to see what you are doing while returning to the original bios.

Basically, yes it can be done but we do not know 100% for sure if it will work as expected.

so I just flashed the bios and all my video ports are working and its telling me now that I have an Asus graphics card with GPU-Z and not a Gigabyte now with a power limit now at 125 instead of 111 everything works perfectly 🙂😋

that is correct info (on default the Aorus Master has a higher PL) its just the slider allows for more power..though I doubt he'd benefit anything beyond what power the board can draw plus the heat he can dissipate..

People here doesn't really put into mind that with more power drawn the heat generated also goes up, before I attempt on doing such feat I'd go with a water block 1st..

and what does it give you benefit with?? I previously owned an Aorus Master 3070 as well, I can do 2145mhz on core with +700 on memory without even moving the slider??

what you say and totally false because it is 300 watt max on the aorus master and on the Asus strix OC it is 350 watt with a power limit of 125 instead of 111 look for yourself on the image below you will see that what you say is totally wrong from A - Z brief it works very well and even better than before
