I want to replace the thermal paste in my gpu ( an Aorus 2080ti Extreme edition ) but I have no idea how to go about doing it. First off , what supplies will I need ? I read some about the process but still have questions. Like for instance, what sort of thermal pads do I need for the VRM and memory chips and how big in size ( mm ) should they be. Also how do I apply the thermal paste on the GPU, do I use the rice grain method or do I make a cross pattern or some other type of pattern. On hand I have some Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste along with the 2 bottles of ArctiClean which I can use to wipe clean the GPU surface before applying the Arctic Silver 5. or should I use another type of TIM ? +If so which type do you guys suggest? I also was wondering about the process of taking apart the GPU, how hard is it, are there any wires that need to be unplugged ? Are there any screws that need to be loosened to take apart the block? Basically I would like an explanation of the entire process, so that I don't screw anything up, because I paid a lot of money for this card and would hate to loose it. Thanks in advance.
