I just wanted some other eyes to look this over because it seems a bit strange. The older 2019 monitor looks like it has better specs than the newer 2022 monitor. Just want to be sure I'm not missing something important??

Thanks in advance!

I used this site to compare the two monitors. Ignore the LG on the right, as I threw that one out.
Here is their Specs comparison.

2022
SAMSUNG 49" S95UA Super Ultrawide Dual QHD Monitor, 4ms, QLED, HDR400, USB-C, USB Hub, 120Hz, Height Adjustable Stand, (LS49A950UINXZA) 2022, Charcoal Black

Samsung Specs

2019
SAMSUNG LC49RG90SSNXZA 49-Inch CRG9 Curved Gaming Monitor, Black, QHD, 120Hz

Samsung Specs

Not familiar with these monitors but if specs are true the 2019 one is a native 10bit panel where the other two are 8bit+FRC, 2019 also offers wider color gamut
I would double check Samsung's own site and product specs tho, have seen a lot of wrong monitor specs on 3rd party sites

Absolutely double check the specs with Samsung. I've had Amazon listings tell me a 16TB HDD was a "warm and fluffy microfiber blanket" with "8TB SSD capacity"... on an official Amazon listing (Shipped by Amazon, Sold by Amazon). Either their systems were having a nervous breakdown, or someone wasn't paying attention when they copypasta'd the details. Sure, that's an extreme example, but it just highlights how the listings aren't always accurate.

Sometimes it is not uncommon for future revisions to be worse than past ones for electronics in general.
It can happen depending on how the company balance out costs and profit, after marking older models EOL.
They might have beefed up an older model a bit too much to compete with other companies at the time.
Remember, technology marketed now is often times actually technology discovered a decade ago or even longer, but just too expensive to produce.

There may have been improvements on things that aren't specified on paper, which can't readily be explained to the consumer crowd.
Although the marketed specs may be the same or better, sometimes the quality might not be.
It's kind of like cars constantly improving every year, even though they can all drive the same way and sport the same overall features.
IMO, if the older one is cheaper and you would be content with it, there's no reason not to adopt it and help reduce eco waste.

I like to check tablet and phone specs on Amazon from time to time, they have quite a lot of cheap ones under ÂŁ200 with 512 Gb - 1tb + of ram. I can't believe how much more that is than on a PC, but i wish they had more than 3 Gb of storage.

Get the specs from the manufacturers website.
