If anyone has any ideas on what to do here I welcome them. If you have some crazy way to bring it back to life, its basically $119 brick at this point(I know they are only $90 now)

So in Feb 22 I purchased two HP EX950 1TB M.2 drives, they were my main drives until May, I started having weird issues, finally decided it must be my board, they were so intermittent...I was on the OCN slack talking about it. Bought a new better board, and same issue, tried everything, never thought about the ssd. Eventually through enough testing found it to the boot drive. I bought an external case threw it in and tried to get my data, but it would crash any pc that I hooked it to. So its all good, it says it has a 5 year warranty and nothing that critical was lost.

But wait.....HP has been awful. I have spent hours on calls and chat, they can't find the drive in their system. They never made them....(BIWIN did for them and BIWIN/HP Store is the seller on Amazon), I have been told that anything not purchased directly from HP isn't capable of warranty work at HP's site. Just so much crap, I waited months on a 3x escalated response that basically said "we will get back to you" that was August, all emails sent to them have resulted in nothing.

Try contacting the seller and ask them where to go for warranty. If they say hp, tell Amazon the seller is lying about the warranty and ask for a refund.

As far as I know hp does not sell ssds by themselves directly to consumers.

Maybe Biwin will honor the warranty instead.
Yep, this is just HP licensed product so they can't help with it.

Dude dealing with the idiots on the other end is a pain in the ass. Dell is on my **** list for a number of reasons.
BTW, OCN has as slack????????

TRUE, DO NOT BUY – I am another unfortunate soul who bought the "HP" SSDs from Amazon. Returned one just in time, the other was too far out of Amazon's return window by the time I realized what the problem was (I thought it was the new Raspberry Pi400). Drops out of connection, extremely poor write speed. Unrecognized serial number at HP site.

So far, I have one Gigabyte and 5 HP dead nvme SSDs.
I agree. HP SSDs are crap.

I will keep an eye on my HP NVMEs, I never had an issue. For a minute I was using them in all builds because Staples had a coupon code that never expired. Ally HP NVMEs were purchased at Staples.

I have a 2TB EX950 which i have had for over 3 years and I can confirm that these suffer from inconsistent 4k randoms however, there is some unreleased firmware ONLY for the 2TB version of the EX950 you can get for these which helps but still has issues. I have seen my 4k randoms go down as low as 20MB/s. Most likely my warranty has been voided by doing this.

I mostly use this drive in my lab system which is used for mostly writes which works just fine transferring things from NVME and from my 10Gbit connected server. I had another issue with it freezing my workstation up after waking from a sleep state and this seems to be a problem every few months. I am getting ready to put the EX950 back into my workstation and see if it does this again.
