So I've run a Search through this Forum, and I've not seen any threads really dedicated to this GPU, other then some of the older News/Reviews posts from back in October; which back then granted this GPU wasn't exactly stellar.

But since then, and we're now 6 - 7 months since Release... I'm seeing more recent reviews and youtube vids showing some rather astounding improvements and really great performance!

In October, and even earlier this year I was seeing reviews comparing it with the RTX 3060 (non Ti) and RX 6600.

Now.

I'm seeing reviews comparing it with the RTX 3060 Ti, RTX 3070, and RX 6700; with youtube videos showing it at just around 5 - 15 FPS shy of these in some games, and some vids even showing it about equal to, or beating out, the 3060 Ti!

It seems each new Driver release is just making it better and better; and while I'm not expecting it to be the miracle Jesus GPU; it has caught my interest.

So I am wondering if there are any Arc A770 owners out there who might be willing to share some of your more recent opinions on it?
How has it improved over the months for you?
Have you seen your games running better on it?
What CPU are you using with it?

I'm seriously thinking about picking one up to replace my RX 580; but I'm debating between it, and an RX 6750 XT.... and I am also looking at replacing my i5-4690K and I'm debating between an i5-13600K, or a 7700X. Logic, makes me want to think that I 'should' pair an Intel GPU, with an Intel CPU; but I've read about others running it with AMD CPU's and getting great performance out of it.

I have it, it's quite good in most native DX12 titles except Cyberpunk 2077 which patch 1.62 fixed on the GAME SIDE! You'll have to edit the driver for fan speed and it will be power limited in some games depending on the res. Example: Diablo II - it's very power limited. Try to get the Acer BiFrost version for that extra power room.

Well to be honest, I really like the look of the Intel Limited Edition reference version over the Acer and ASRock ones...

Plus the Intel version of the card fits nicely within the budget I want to spend, but I could go a little over.. hence I'm also looking at the RX 6750 XT... Probably one from MSI as I like theirs and my RX 580 is an MSI.

I hoping to decide by tomorrow or Tuesday.... Friday at the latest.

Main question I'm debating is whether ARC still needs more time to mature.

I read somewhere that part of Intel's driver issues with it relate to the fact that they spread their driver dev teams all over the world, and the guys who are supposed to be developing their driver support for many key features holding them back, is the Russian team....

But they apparently got all split up and moved around Europe as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and sanctions put on Russian businesses...

So Intel had to scramble to relocate some of them, some decided not to go, etc... So they don't really have much of a dev team working on whatever those features are..

I kind of want to check one out. BH photo has the limited for msrp at $349.
Yea!
So does my local Microcenter!
I'll be going there sometime this week to replace my broadband modem so I want to decide on which GPU to get by then.
On the plus side, Microcenter does offer a 30 Day Return period so .... I could take it back if I decide it's not for me

ASRock version is $289 at newegg. But
I agree the Intel version does look nicer.

Really dont have time to experiment and Its 2016 performance that Nvidia had had.

Ok.
Uh. Cool?
Not sure what you're replying to, as I wasn't aware that there were any 'experiments' involved.
Do you have current experience you care to elaborate on, for the rest of us?

I've got one at work. Keep meaning to test it but everything else keeps getting in the way.

So far I've had the time to put it in an AMD system (3900X/X470) which then refused to boot, and an Intel system (11900K/Z590) which booted fine but I needed to put a CUDA capable GPU back in before I got a chance to test it properly.

From what I've seen, if you don't have ReBAR support in your BIOS, don't bother with Arc right now.

There has to be a reason for me to get ARC and not because its Intel or different.

Just got an A750, (so not the A770 they cost 125 euro more here in NL) just for the looks. WOW build quality really nice. It performs fantastic in benchmarks, and exceptional in MW2 1440p ultra settings with XES or how is it called...get around 140 fps... 3060ti just 100. but in BF2042 it worse than a 3060ti but playable at 70 fps where the ti gets 120.

The intel overlay doesnt even have fan control.. complete joke. I had to download Acer Predator Bifrost software (only for W11, but i run it on W10 :)) and edit the config file for it to not scan at startup. Now i can only select 3 profiles (one with 235W though) and one custon profile where you can only set 228W and fanspeed in 10% increments. After that i have to open IntelArc control to actually overclock. You can also overclock with ArcTool, but that is a bit barebones.

It runs stock 42W idle, had to set some PL1 values in mobo settings and adjust Windows powersettings to get it to 32W idle... the A770 will be more unfortunately.
and at high voltage (above 1,15v) it has pretty loud coilwhine.
Also with low voltage/normal votage and high fps (500+) it has medium coilwhine.

Oh. Ok.
So then...
What was the point of your initial comment then, if you had nothing to share?
Or, did you just not read what the thread was about, and only post based on your presumptions from the thread title?
Cause your initial post really made absolutely no sense at all.

Oh.
Nevermind.
I see.
You're just trying to boost your post count with quick and dumb, one sentence posts, that don't really contribute to the discussions they're posted in.

I just picked one up last week I think. Haven't played with it yet but I can't wait to overclock it like I do with my A380. I have the latest high end gpus too but these Arcs are fun.
Hey looking forward to your opinions on it, after you DO get chance to play with it!
What CPU do you think you might be running it with?
I think I'm pretty much settled on getting a Ryzen 7 7700x so I'm really curious to hear more about how it performs with those. I was at my local Microcenter yesterday actually, and talking to the guys working there in the GPU/CPU area. They told me they've been quite impressed with the A770's performance, and that they're getting a lot of orders for it with Ryzen processors.

It sold out at my microcenter and mine is from a new shipment.
I like pushing limits and overclocking especially the arcs. So it will run at times with all my intel.
12100 OC, 13100 hopefully OC, 12900k, 12900ks, 13900KS especially this one.

i overclocked the A750 to over 3000MHz in Heaven. Ran some benchmarks at around 2800. They are amazing overclockers but need a lot of voltage.

My a380 was able to hold 2950 or 3000 on air cooling during furmark. Usually 2900. I reposted it with kryonaut. I want to drop a cpu cooler on the a380 gpu with custom bracket then try a water cooled block after that. My A770 will use either EK or custom built from France
