Hey all,
I managed to get some GSkill DDR5, 2x16Gb Hynix A-Dies but I guess my Z690 / 12700k limits my DDR5 speed. Mainboard is an Asus Z690 Prime A. Cant get it to run stable at normal XMP (rest of the system is stock).
Could someone guide me to some reasonable speed and timings? For example 6400Mhz with tighter timings that could work. Its a shame I cant make the most Out of the Hynix a-Die.

Thanks a lot:)

Mine doesn't get stable even at 6400 with the 6400 Vengeance cl 32-40-40 in XMP.
Managed to run them up to 64xx% in Karhu Ram test but no more.
The 4 slot Z690's are real lottery (and I got a new MSI Ace).
Now I'm trying to obtain a decent optimised 6200, got 30-38-38-64 so far, still working on them.
Maybe your G.Skill / 12700k / Prime A mix is luckier, try 6400 32-39-39

I’m running buildzoid timings but they are for mdie on my z690prime-a at 6400cl34 It’s been very solid for my games. I have a 13900ks so maybe imc little better but honestly 6400 should be easy peasy for 12700. Mostly board likely holding things up. I’ve tried 6600 with exact same timings and it was hit or miss if it wants to train. I didn’t loosen up timings at all…that might have helped but 200-400mhz not going to be noticeable in games in my opinion.

Maybe the Vengeance's are pure turd and the G.Skills are 24K.
I bought a new 24K gold motherboard but I got the wrong ram choice.

I managed to get them stable at 6400Mhz - kept the original primary timings and didn't adjust anything else besides tREFI to 32768. So they are probably still far from optimal.

But! my system is stable and that's my priority. I'll post my timings here, too, so maybe some can be safely optimized without compromising stability. I would be very happy if someone could take a look :) (click for bigger image, each is linked to the original screenshot/pic):

Also, what's interesting, HWiNFO shows XMP settings for speeds below 6800Mhz. Or atleast I think that it shows that:

I spent countless hours, passing Testmem5 with anta777 absolute, then starting up a game and getting a bluescreen almost instantly. So I'm just tired of trial&error.

Lastly a CPU-Z Screenshot, just for the sake of it.

I'm sure there is plenty I can optimize, but for now, I'm atleast happy with the stability. As I said, I would be very grateful for any help to optimize it.

Greetings

G.Skill 6400C32 A-die kit. this is stable on a Celeron G6900, just stock XMP voltages and tight timings. I swapped to 12400F and running 7000C32, maybe you guys can get some inspiration from it. I am new to DDR5
Wow, that's impressive. What mainboard are you on? These settings seem impossible to achieve for me, at this point I think it's the mainboard if a 12400 can run 7000C32. Then a 12700k should be able to do the same, I wonder... But then again I hear that the silicon lottery plays a big role in all of that

As it turns out, my system is completely unstable when gaming (even while passing MemTests).

I spent the entire day Troubleshooting Just to be able to play some Diablo 4, but no matter what I do - bluescreens everywhere.

Even when running on stock 4800Mhz DDR5 its unstable. No matter which voltages I apply, I am out of ideas (and nerves 😅).

I would be super grateful for anybody just helping me with some stable settings that I can Play Games with. No matter the Speed. Even If I would have to run 3000Mhz.

At this Point i would be willing to Set Up a Bounty for anybody that can achieve stability for me (No Idea If thats allowed tho 😅). Tbh No Idea what i can do anymore. Please Help

punch in the numbers for the screenshot above , and set at 6000 with auto voltages and i bet it will be stable.

Not getting a bluescreen now, PC just goes black screen - restart (after starting to lag like 20-30sec). What could this be?

Btw: i saw Quad Channels in your Screenshot, mine is showing single (running 2x16gb)

Nevermind. Now showing Quad. These are my settings now:

Wait, what. This Screen now showing 4000Mhz, 3.825V in Channel A1 / 0V in Channel B1.

I finally (hopefully) fixed my problem now. Well, seems like the issue was that one RAM Stick wasn't properly seated. When i woke up last morning I had the idea to check If the RAMs were sitting correctly and / or trying one at a time. When I reseated the left RAM stick I heard an additional, distinctive noise that indicated that it "snapped" in. Couldn't really test much yet - but now I'm running your tighter timings from the Screenshot @ 6400Mhz.
Sadly I wasn't able to test the game that kept on crashing (never tried other games in that time, but I guess they would have also crashed.) Today I played for like ~2 hours, no lag, PC feels super fast, I really hope it stays like that.

This evening I took out both RAM sticks and cleaned the RAM slots with isopropanol alcohol and some brushes. RAM sticks too. Looked everything like it should, I'm very positive that this was the fix.

Thanks anyone, and especially Kaliz for helping me out with those timings. They achieve insane scores in benchmarks, I can't believe it. Finally it works, after spending >10h troubleshooting the entire Saturday without even thinking about checking the RAM sticks itself. Oh wow, you always learn something new.

Last screenshot for now :) Success!

I got my replacement RAM from Corsair, which is officially rated from my Mainboard. Runs also smooth, however, they are barely fitting with my AIO Fans. Is this a problem? Fan is spinning fine / normally:
