Basically there is a strict standard for error correction below 1900, where none is allowed or the system will not boot
Looks like it. Even more so, from my experience this 1900 barrier is the "real" fclk that is base FCLK * BCLK / 100. So the 3733 fclk and 101.8 bclk (which gives 1900 mhz for the "real" fclk) doesn't work either and ends up with 07 post code, the same as if 1900 set in bios and no bclk OC.

Upd: If what you said is true then my X3D should boot easily with fclk 1900 mhz on my b450 board. I'll check it tomorrow )

How are you guys doing 101.8 bclk?

On my B550i Aorus CPU Clock Control only allows whole numbers. Or is that the actual reported value when you do 102mhz for example? I never tried to change this btw, pretty afraid even to do it lmao.

My MSI B550 Unify-X allows for 0.0125 increments for BCLK. So I set 101.8125 now.

BTW, is there any way to make the X3D throttle less in y-cruncher lol. It just absolutely smashes into PPT / EDC limits at 101.75 BCLK -23 all core (1.199v load) and 2000 FCLK with relatively high vSOC and VDDG's causing even more power consumption lol. I was testing for WHEA's using y-cruncher benchmark mode multi threaded setting 8 (22.xGB) and it's a throttle fest. Doesn't make the test itself relevant. (Yes, it WHEA'd 47 times during the test lol)

EDIT: no 2000 FCLK did not survive Division 2. That game has a specific instruction set that just absolutely prints WHEA's if it's unstable. I had like 90 within 10 minutes of playing. Raising vSOC to well above safe levels (1.290v) and VDDG's to 1.08/1.13 got it down to about 12 in the same time but still not stable. Weirdly enough Cinebench and World of Tanks are fine for example..

Just because I'm curious. Can you run like 1 benchmark pass of y-cruncher on the highest available memory setting for your amount of RAM? If that passes without WHEA's it's incredibly solid. I have basically never seen a X3D pass that at 2000 FCLK with no WHEA.

Even if it does WHEA, it won't matter for daily usage, that is more important, but I'm just curious.
This?

And I can confirm: is also for me incredibly solid.
I'm tempted to try the bclk overclock, but my MB allow it only via RMT (Ryzen Mobile Tuner) == Software
Tried and I don't love-it. Because I've to start with a lower ram clock and after start RMT to reach the solid speed.
Isn't my PC.

YC 2.5B is about as power hungry as P95 small fft and linx and can max out EDC (fit ~166A) on my 5800X and pull 180W+ with cold enough water (sub 10C? Old benches might be sub 20C)

From my simulations (I don’t have 5700X nor 5800X3D, grain of salt etc…)

That is insane.. that is by far the best X3D I have ever seen FCLK wise. On such low vSOC as well!? This thing is golden.. if not top 0.1% platinum.. that thing is destined for some hwbot 5800X3D records lol. Crank that bclk my friend...

@PJVol I'm running from the first good shoot @2000/4000 without whea from April. Tried, with good boot at 4000c19, and lowered until 4000c16 when I found and feel a comfort zone.
Tested, and until now I'm wating a whea error or a bsod or a reset or a shoot down but nothing.
So I running a 4000 MHz DDR4 and 2000MHz Infinity Fabric with low voltages (was my second fun play with this kit MB/ram to found the lower voltage with VSoc, VDDG CCD and IOD and CLDO VDDP).
My MB give a 1,825V PLL (and I found-it irrilevant for my setup, I never exceeded 1,85V -set 1,88V in HwInfo during my tests), my Vdimm is 1,45, my ram is a sammy b-die "good selection" (not the best).
I'm here hoping to found someone with a similar ram speed setup to confront and learn better than in my single experience.
Is a stable 24/7 system that i use principally for play games, now (from two months) also with RT enabled on a 7900XT. Without a single WHEA.
Yep, sure you found someone, you are not alone on this great planet of enthusiasts Overclock.net team!

Perhaps the key to 2000fclk is having internet explorer installed :p
There's another very easy trick to 2000 FCLK. Just pretend the WHEA's don't exist hehe.

Anyone know how the 5600X3Ds are performing? Local MC has them for $229 MC reviewers are saying they run cooler and are best for SFF gaming setups. I'm wondering how the IF is with those.

Gaming wise it sits slightly below the 13600K according to Tom's. They tested with 3600 at least. I think with it being an exclusive CPU to one market there won't be many reviews that actually test it any higher.

Hello again,

Just noticed that Asus has posted bios 4802 with the AGESA version to ComboV2PI 1.2.0.A bios update for my TUF GAMING X570-PRO. Just want to make sure no show stopping bugs have been observed using the 5800X3D. Is this new bios worth it? Anything new?

EDIT: Lol, just great, I forgot to backup my bios user profiles. Now I'm back to square one stock.

what the hell! Is this stable for daily? :O
I think his CPU surrender before you even click "start" to run aida sha3 test :)

holly **** this is good, what board how much fclk ? thats some seriously impressive work!!!
C6H, BCLK 102.8, mem 3769, -30CO and boost override set to 1250 (over base non boost frequency)

Don’t know yet. I did play some cyberpunk with it yesterday though and it ran smoothly.

What is the all core clock now then?

4677 and no drop in effective clock. Tried to add 25MHz more and the effective clock drops to around 4640 while reported clock speed was a bit over 4.7GHz. So it was stretching. With more voltage the boost might allow more effective clock, but I’m very close to EDC limit as it is.
