Hello!

Here I have SuperCool DDie 12 Gen on 13900KF Stock (PL=4096W + XMP). HWiNFO reports 316W max for power tho. This is only for comparisson since Im guessing SuperCool and Iceman should have similar results. ROG Thor display is showing whole PC power consumption. Last R23 run reported 39976 so 40K for score.

Ambient Temp = 18°C
Water Temp = 26°C
AVG P-Cores = 67.38°C
AVG E-Cores = 58°C

Did a video comparing this scenario vs
1.- PL=288W -100mV UV (P-Cores only)
2.- PL=253W -120mV UV (P-Cores only)

Video is in spanish and was more for "gamers" struggling with AIO and Core i9, but might be useful if you want to compare temps with lower PL and undervolt.

Regards

The direct die Supercool is in theory a little more powerful.
I've also used it in the past but it cost me a 12900KS binned as well as a motherboard, personally I won't touch it again 😅
Minor leak, even though he had done a leak test (with a pump and a pressure gauge).
It started leaking more than a week after fitting, even though everything was tightened to torque.
It's very good, but not secure enough in my opinion...

I think I've worked out what the problem is on my end, I hope I haven't broken any SMD on the motherboard...

Yep have to take a utility knife and trim the side of plastic mount. Doesnt take much but ensures clearance.

Do you put this pressure film between the die and the coldplate?
Where can I find this kind of film?
Yes. Between the die and cold plate. You can get free samples here - Pressure Metrics LLC. Should be enough for our purposes. I'm technically not using this as designed as there is another bit of film that is used to give you "colored results" but it makes the film thicker and I don't think it is really needed for this purpose.

Hello, I am thinking in buying this product

IceManCooler 13900k 12/13 gen Intel CPU Water Block Touch Direct Core Delid Cooler ,0.3MM Micro Channels,ICE-DWB12

Any thoughts? I couldn't find any reviews

I saw supercool is in stock, so it is a option.
I didn't know about this brand until now, hoping it does better than my actual waterblock.

Anyone use the tg kryosheet with either iceman or super cool dd blocks?

As what debauer stated himself you can expect 5-7c worse temps then liquid metal. But dont think you can go wrong with it if you worry about possible liquid metal side effects.
Did he make a video on it? If so, do you have a link by chance?

Second replacement block received to replace the first which was very bad.
The flatness is still not good and the surface is not smooth, I'll let you judge for yourself.
I had to pay 66€ for the replacement product, I'm beginning to be disgusted with this brand...

Of course, I'm stuck with the old one, because according to the brand, "it's not profitable for me to send it back".
170€ icemancooler block currently.

Be careful with IceMan, if you have a problem you have not finished worrying, these people do not care about you.

A guy doesnt read too much about bad iceman blocks…for you to have two poor ones in a row is bad luck. Wonder debuaer will have his direct die 1700 part ready…

I see that on the previous pages someone gave a reference value of 17.75 for the height of the block, mine is over 18, do you think it would be interesting to reduce the height?
On my first model, which wasn't any good, the height was 17.85mm.
I confess I'm not reassured, the aim isn't to break the matrix either.

Edit:
With the new block, which has supposedly been checked, I throttle instantly at 100° on R23.
IceManCooler is definitely worthless.
They send out a few good blocks to sell their wares, then dump dubious stocks afterwards to make money at the consumer's expense, it's shameful...

You decide to delid to gain performance, IceMan sells you bad blocks that you compensate for with your delid.
I can share screenshots of conversations with the brand, according to them exceeding 90° with their block (water between 27 and 30°, full auto bios: 315/320W) is normal, the problem doesn't come from the material but from the customer who expected better.
Comparatively, I did better with an EK Velocity2 block and the original ihs.
I think I'm going to cut my losses with this brand, which absolutely doesn't deserve all the praise it got at the beginning of the thread.
What's more, talking to them is a constant pain, their sole aim will be to make you pay more, nothing else.

Not sure on the height thing. Never measured mine just put it on and it works goodYea man thats tough luck. Ek seems to suck, supercool works but wonky setup/disassembly/poor communication, seems iceman hit or miss now… really surprised no north american makers of direct die… likely a very niche market in the scheme of things though… likely tough to make a go of it.

That is about how mine looked. Not good.

What result did you get with 320W if you tried it?
Still sitting in the box. I also have the EK DD that I spent a fair amount of time on getting the cold plate flat and polished. I'm reasonably happy with the results but I've not yet attempted an overclock. Just finished getting it all back together. You can read about my experience here - EK Velocity 2 Direct Die problems
