Guys, please stop recommending the LF2. I owned one and it was worse than my corsair H170i and LT720 by a big margin. It couldn't even sustain 330w. The H170i and LT720 can both do 370 before throttling (I've seen 400W on the Corsair)

I'm assuming the TechYes video is done without a contact frame as well, pretty sure arctic design their blocks to be concave so it appears a lot better without the frame.

Those are probably the worst thought AIOs on the market, they can barely make proper contact with the IHS, not to mention other faults.
Then why are they consistently on the top places in all online reviews...? Why am I able to cool 345w with the stock mounting?

I have the LT720 and it cant even do 300w nevermind 370. This is with a contact frame and mx6 paste. x3 t30s. Iv tested it on over 10 cpus, different pasting methods. contact frame and no contact frame.

techcity even mounted the pump upside down and it still beat the corsair H170i.

To be honest, the amount of people saying the LF II 420 is the best is massive. The reviews and everything im reading online and personal reviews on reddit point towards it being the best with the thickest rad.

I think im going to order it with some Noctua NF-A14 iPPC-3000 PWM fans.

I can cool 360W on my LT720, all though it gets tricky in longer tests due to heat soak. For a loop of R23 though? It's fine

Must be the airflow in my case, even with the t30s in 3000rpm mode and the PC sounding like a jet it throttles on and off.

I guess time will tell if iv made a mistake with the LF2 420 with some different fans. I mean it has more surface area and the fans i mentioned are like t30s for the 140mm fan size. It has to be better at least!! I hope!

Could you elaborate why you mentioned "stock mounting" and what you mean by this?

Im going to buy the LF2 420 right now as its on sale on amazon now for ÂŁ87. Is there an improved mounting bracket or something ill need?

Cheers

I mean with the "supposedly" bad stock mounting system or whatever. I don't even know if there are any custom mounting solutions, getto mods or whatever, and frankly I don't care. It works out of the box as is.

I'm sure you'll get great performance with the LF2 420mm. Please share some R23 temp runs once you put it all together.

edit: I don't know if the LF2 has any custom mounting solutions.

Cheers!

Will do, also ordered x3 Noctua NF-A14 iPPC-3000 fans to go along with it.

I really dont see such a big thick rad with these fans that push alot of air being worse than my LT720 from deepcool with with the t30s. Ill be shocked if its worse!!

This is the H170i. 350w, 86c max.

This is slightly misleading, as its likely with a 15-18c ambient. That low of 21c for CPU is telltale.

Here is a video showing the AC LF2 being better than the H170i in a stock vs stock form, so I'm sure you'll get great results. Looking forward to seeing them!

Because paid reviews ? Or maybe they don't even test on LGA 1700 to begin with. Also, maybe because no review ever reports the mechanical idiocy of the mounting system on the LGA 1700 ?
Reasons are plenty.
If you see a proper mounting system then you'll see the difference.

There are so many people running 14900k's at 6.1 etc... Surely they are benching these CPU's properly and not just throttling in the tests. Whats the solution?
Outside of low loads/gaming loads, a custom water loop with an optional chiller.

Most people can't go wrong with the Arctic 420mm AIO. There may be some competitors that are better/worse but it's probably within a 1-2C delta, so margin of error.

Just make sure you slap on the maximum number of fans that you can in push-pull configuration.
^ This

No AIO can cool 400W, period, unless you keep the PC in a room with the ambient at 10C.
I am in California and posted 380w y-cruncher runs on my ADL with LF 420 at 14c ambient. You are telling me no one can hit 400w on y-cruncher on 420AIO in the last 2 generations?

How do we know all these wattage readings are even correct?
For all we know the DC_LL could be off and the wattage is actually lower than what is being shown.
