Hi everyone, quick question when I’m gaming and I have hwinfo open it says my cpu is throttling in the ring/core package is this normal or anything to worry about?
What are you using for cooler? 80 sounds hot for gaming even in all auto mode.Well I’m running after burner to view temps when gaming and it’s says roughly around 80 but when I check hw monitor it’s saying the max temp it’s hit is 92c and yer running stock settings only setting I’ve changed is multi core enhancement changed that to remove all limits
Ppl are saying this for literally every generation of chips that intel bring on market. Im hearing this since 4000 series i7. 🙈I know that the 14900k are hot chips anyways
So it’s nothing to worry about ?I also often see the ring throttling indicator and I assumed it just means the ring frequency would get higher if it wasn't limited by the max ring frequency setting
Its your stock intel set limits at 75-80c that is throttling. What motherboard are you using? If asus then if you select “remove all limits” it should run full speed no matter temp till it blue screens. So it’s nothing to worry about ?
I’m gunna try not to worry to much read online of a lot of people saying these run hot anywaysif my assumption is correct then it’s nothing to worry about
What would you advise for cooling? And any good guide to follow to undervolt it?a 360 AIO is way to little to run a 14900K unless you undervolt it, imho. since your stock I would try a -65mv offset and see if that can get you where its not throttling
While I dont have that cooler that seems VERY high specially if you are keeping the limits and just during gaming.Turned off mc enhancement no change I’m using a deep cool lt720
