I saw an image of a d900f laptop and it just floored me because you do not find Laptops with so much exterior stuff., Today it hard enough to find 4 usb port.

I have been looking for a laptop that has a lot of port and no, docking stations are not what I'm looking for.

I start researching this d900f and saw it lead to a x7200 success.

I saw that lead to a P270WM that I think failed and later there was a P370EM or P570WM .

I was wondering did the trend just stop there? These are like gen 3 processors. I see both Clevo and Seger still make laptops but nothing like this mini pc.

I don't think Clevo/Sagar makes those anymore. Closest you'll get is the MSI Titan but its still running a mobile CPU. Dell, Asus, and I think Razor, make 18" laptops which are almost as big as the MSI Titan. But TBH, with the wattage limits on the GPUs, performance between a good 17" laptop and these monstrosities isn't much.

for this need of mine its all about ports. the gt83 does look to have 5 or 6 usb and a drive, not bad for this day in age. Wish there was a sheet showing what each model had port wise.

It's a bandwidth issue. Most people would rather have a few really fast ports. Instead of having a bunch of slow ports. Those older laptops mostly had a bunch of usb 2.0 ports. And most of those 3rd gen laptops only had a 1 or 2 usb 3.0 port. To make laptops thinner they started removing ports as well. There aren't a lot of laptops with Ethernet anymore.

Yes hence my request. Or I'd not have to ask. I see such things from time to time, they are indeed hard to find but sometimes do exist. It is not something you can easily search on so I have to depend on what others know. For example I never heard of this titian, and it is in the realm of what I'm looking for. I have 2 laptops that are sleek, shine, new and thin, but I'm not looking for that.
