Wondering which of you have been using ECC ram and making use of the overclocking abilities of this processor.

I have Samsung 2666 CL19 that I am currently running at 2466 CL15 with my current E5 1650 V4 at a slight base clock increase. (bought due to low price and making use of higher ram over my old 2660 V3 that was stuck at 2133)

I bought the 1660 V3 due to seeing it is unlocked, but more importantly, was cheaper than normal

Mostly curious about what memory speeds you folks have ran, and what speed you were stable at without beating the crap out of ECC feature too much.

Goals with the new chip:
-run allcore 4.1 or above, shooting for 4.4
-run cache at least 3000mhz, but hoping for 3500
-run my ram at its JEDEC 2666 CL19 speed, but hoping for CL16. No need to go further, as the ECC feature does cause heat and latency jumps when working.

Thoughts and advice is welcome.

Thanks

Found a Reddit post where a guy runs his Samsung 2133 ECC Reg. (later production with zig-zag PCB top edge) at 3200 o_O.

Link

So I had to at least up my 4x 16GB Samsung 2133 ECC Reg. (earlier production with straight PCB top edge) a small bump to 2400 CL15 keeping all other timings and settings stock. No ill effects in memtest86 and gained some extra throughput. I run my 1660V3 at 4.2GHz (1.2V) with 3.3GHz cache (~1V).

My 1660v3 was able to reach ram 3200, but all together with cpu and cache overclock it's overheating and sustem shuts down.
Lowered ram (and controller's voltage) to be stable but it still crasy hot even in low load (Up to max 309 watt via VRM). Moved back to 2696v3 that cold like ice after that one (120 watt at same VRM sensor)
