I left the pc for about an hour and when I got back there was no signal on the monitor and no power to the keyboard and mouse. The motherboard was running and it showed 00 error on the qled display. What could cause that?.... My bad guys I disabled the pcores just for experimenting and forgot that I did it. Sorry... everything runs fine.

Anyone here also have an Apex Encore? If so, how do you feel they compare & which do you like better?
OG white Apex rev A04 is generally better than Encore. I tried Encore before and to my disappointment it could not even run at 8400 XMP.

From my testing with the same CPU and RAM,
  • White Apex A04 - 8533 max stable, must disable MRC fastboot
  • ASRock Lightning ITX - 8800 max stable, fast boot

Could it be that you were given a bad play in the motherboard silicon lottery?

Wouldn't mind a Lightning ITX if it came with more SATA ports & M.2 slots

yeah, my friend and some other guys in ocn are also losing the mobo lotteries.

Provided you have capable CPU and RAM, I'd rate minimum RAM OC as below:
  • Encore - 8266
  • Apex A04 - 8400
  • Lightning ITX - 8600

How much lower would you rate the NOVA?

Might be interested in one of these when they become available for a build I am thinking of.

More like rog z690 extreme capable of 8000… Seems unheard of for a z690 board. You must have a rare edition.

I could do max 7600 100%stable on Nova. Same cpu does 8400 on Encore. Happy anyway with Nova :)

That's odd mine had done the same but I hadn't disabled anything and couldn't get the computer to turn back on. I decided to disable my sleep settings after that and no problem since.

I forget, what was the difference between the Nova and Riptide? They look like almost the same board on Newegg, but Riptide is 100 less (and in stock.)
More power phases, better audio, more internal connectors, more usb ports, 1 more M.2 slot (at the cost of 4 SATA ports)

And the NOVA features an external bclk generator chip , - Supports ASRock Hyper BCLK Engine

Testing some VST+VT3...

Quick question about the RGB on this board if anyone can help? I currently use just the settings within the bios itself but have been curious about polychrome and running it within windows and if it causes issues with this board or if possibly anyone is using OpenRgb/SignalRgb instead and of this works? Only ask since I have my graphics card and ram which I would like to try and control but the bios doesn't allow for this and just don't want to cause issues with using the software within windows just to control these at the cost of problems as I have heard some stories of possible bricking etc when trying OpenRgb or SignalRgb. Anyone who maybe using the polychrome or other Rgb software if you could give me any info I would greatly appreciate this. Thanks
