The OC relevant components of the test system are an intel i9 14900k (ES), 2x24GB DDR5 Corsair Dominator Titanium 8000MT/s CL38 and Watercool Heatkiller IV CPU water cooler with MO-RA3 420 radiator.
Let’s start the ambient overclocking, but first the results with default bios settings.

Then entering the BIOS in advanced mode you will find in the OC Tweaker menu a new feature, the CPU Indicator, that shows you the OC quality of your CPU.

This works for Alder and Raptor Lake CPUs.
First, I tested if the motherboard is capable of performing a memory stability test with the XMP settings of the 2x24GB DDR5 Corsair Dominator Titanium 8000MT/s CL38 kit.
In the DRAM config I selected the XMP 3.0 profile 1

VDD_CPU Voltage was set to 1.360V and VDD_IMC Voltage to 1.485V (voltage mode “OC Mode” must be selected in order to go above 1.410V VDD_IMC)

The next screen shows a 500% MemTest run without error. That is quite impressive for a 4-dimm motherboard at 8000MT/s CL38.

In the following OC examples, the cpu p-core ratio was set for all p-cores to 58, all e-cores to 46 and 50 for the cpu cache ratio. The cpu voltage was set to fixed mode at 1.275V, VDD_CPU at 1,36V and VDD_IMC at 1.485V.

For the next result, I simply changed the following timings to manual values in addition to the XMP profile.

These timing adjustments helped boost scores in all three benchmarks.

For the next test, more manual adjustments were done on the memory timings and the voltage had to be increased for VDD and VDDQ to 1.57v.

This helped again to boost scores in all three benchmarks.

Conclusion remarks
Even though the NOVA is designed for gamers, it is still a great overclocking motherboard. The ability to use high frequency memory is great for a 4-dimm motherboard and it handles memory overclocking well and easy. It is simple to navigate through the bios and I really like the new CPU indicator feature.
