Yesterday I got the FSP Hydro Ti Pro in a new revision, which has the new 12v2x6 connector. The fan is quite quiet, no rattling or whirring or other noises. The cables are also very good and can be bent easily. There are numerous tests and this NT is one of the best. Even if it is quite expensive, the price is justified. A clear purchase recommendation from me.

I have never seen that brand before.

I've got one of these as well and have been very impressed with it.

One oft overlooked feature that this unit has, even above and beyond the slightly newer Hydro Ti X Pro is that they are deliberately targeting 5.1v on the 5v rail, which is something only server PSUs normally do. Targeting 5v is, rather counter intuitively, the source of a lot of problems for many systems, especially with regard to USB ports, which tend to droop by 100-200mV by the time the power gets through the motherboard and to the ports.

I have never seen that brand before.
Chances are you have, as Fortron/Source is a major OEM that also builds units for others to rebrand.

I may have seen rebrands, but not sold as FSP. I found their website and they have a nice selection of PC cases as well.

Good to know, I'll keep an eye out for this or similar models when I need to upgrade.

I've used FSP in the past, mostly in the early-mid 2000's thru 2010 or so.. do they still have a pretty solid reputation across all models?

Wow! I've been using my new Seasonic 1000 (top shelf) since about December of 2022 and have never had a cable problem (so far). Should I be worried? My MSI 4090 is the liquid cooled variety and it seldom gets very warm to the touch, cables either. BTW, I play most of the top games out there. There are no bends in the cable, goes into the 4090 straight shot and everything is nice and snug. So, maybe we need to play the name game; i.e. the card itself, the cable OEMs, the PSU people, or maybe the end user. Please believe me, I'm not trying to be smug. But, it, the issue, has to be one or the other or a combination of several. We all know this - just food for thought.

Their high-end stuff is some of the best around. Haven't heard of any major issues with their more budget models, but not much to really set those apart either...wouldn't avoid them, if the price is right.

I got an older version of the FSP Hydro Ti Pro 1000W. The one with the 12VHPWR connector instead of the newer 12V-2x6 one. Great PSU nonetheless, and I got it much cheaper than the Seasonic Prime Ultra Titanium 1000W in my other rig. I like how its more compact than the Seasonic and the voltages are right on the mark and rock solid stable, especially the 12V.

My only complaint is that the cables are very stiff.

No problem here, just a comment about power and cooling. So, relax.

Thanks, good to know. I've been using Evga & Seasonic for my last few builds (my current rig using a SuperNOVA 750 P2) and with Evga's downfall overall I will look to FSP as well.

For the price ok but its very loud. FSP is silent.

I use it with the fan off. But for me it is not a problem.
It is the other features that were more than fine for me anyway.
Your FSP is a good PSU, but I abandoned that brand when they were producing the EVGA 1300 P+ platforms in 2021.
Disastrous..

What exactly has this topic lost here? Be happy with your power supply unit and that's that.

You didn't read well, I was talking about FPS. It, like others, produces the platforms and many aib use them under their name. This also happened to evga with the 1300p+. Inside it was FPS, and it sucked. So I no longer considered that brand.
That's all.
